“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” is scheduled to be released on June 30 as the fifth and final Indiana Jones movie and LEGO has released three new Indiana Jones-themed Lego sets that reimagine famous scenes from past Indy films that are sure to help celebrate the finale of the movie franchise.

The new sets are based on scenes from “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark” and “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.” Comicbook.com reported that fans can reserve their kits starting on April 1.

Today, Disney announced the Disney100 ‘The 1930s’ Decades Collection, featuring merchandise from “Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs” and “The Band Concert,” will be available on March 20 at 7:00 a.m. PST / 10:00 a.m. EST on the shopDisney website.

1930s collection preview

Disney shared a picture on Instagram that showcased a Minnie ear headband from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” and a Loungefly backpack from “The Band Concert” side by side.

Disney100 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Minnie Ear Headband

Snow White ear headband close up

The “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” ear headband pays homage to the first animated feature film of the same name.

The richly detailed ear headband features two sequined ears – one with the many woodland creatures seen in the film and the other featuring Snow White sitting on the forest ground with two rabbits and a chipmunk. The bow is designed after the capped sleeves on her dress with a jeweled red apple in the center. The headband itself is trimmed in bright red and has an ice-blue interior.

Disney100 “The Band Concert” Mini Loungefly Backpack

disney100-decades-1930s-loungefl

“The Band Concert,” from 1935, was the first Mickey Mouse film produced in color. The Loungefly mini backpack resembles Mickey as he appeared in the short film, wearing a red uniform and holding a conductor’s wand. The backpack design is reminiscent of the outfit that he wore in the animated short.

“The Band Concert” is a 1935 animated short film produced in 3-strip Technicolor. While the film was the 73rd to feature Mickey Mouse, it was the first film to feature him in color. “The Band Concert” tells the story of a small concert band conducted by Mickey Mouse which struggles through a distraction-filled public performance at the park. Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Clarabelle are all featured in the historic film.

The 1920s Decades Collection inspired by “Steamboat Willie” was released this past February. A Dooney & Bourke collection inspired by “The Band Concert” is also available, recently hitting shelves at Walt Disney World.

Will you be celebrating the centennial anniversary of the Walt Disney Company with any of the new items featured in the Disney100 Decades Collection? Let us know in the comments below.

Disney Live Entertainment has shared a behind-the-scenes tech walkthrough of Disneyland’s recently debuted “Wondrous Journeys” nighttime spectacular, showcasing the team responsible for the show’s projections, pyrotechnics, and special effects that bring the magic of Disney’s centennial celebration to life.

In the video, KC Wilkerson, the principal media designer for Disney Live Entertainment at the Disneyland Resort, stands on Main Street U.S.A. after the park closed for the day, with Sleeping Beauty Castle in the background. Additional projections can be seen on the façade of “it’s a small world” in Fantasyland.

Wilkerson offers a rare look at the control room, featuring a wall of screens that provide the director and a team of technicians a live view of the production as its occurring. The lighting, audio, video, and special effects are all monitored and controlled from inside. From a workstation, Wilkinson explained what is necessary from the team of three or four technicians to ensure the perfect show for Disneyland guests.

While riding the Disney Skyliner, guests have reportedly found many strange things left behind, but we’ve never heard of a fish — until now. On a recent visit to Walt Disney World, one Reddit user found a full fish hitching a ride.

The image was posted by Reddit user LukeKuechIy. It couldn’t have come at a better time as the Walt Disney Studios have been teasing the live-action version of “The Little Mermaid” for several months now, and last night, March 12, during the broadcast of the 95th Oscars, viewers got a look at the official trailer. The irony wasn’t lost on those in the comment section.

Some were unsure what it was until one poster asked, “Is that a fish?” and original poster LukeKuechly said, “It sure is.”

After that, the commenters brought out their best fish puns, casting a wide net that included comments about Disney’s upcoming live-action version of “The Little Mermaid” and the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

Read What Reddit Users Had to Say About the Fishy Disney Skyliner Passenger:

“Flippin’ your fins you don’t get too far…” said full0fwit.

“Looks like Flounder is trying to escape the publicity of the new Little Mermaid movie,” said HegemonHarbinger.

Kevenner001 decided to go the Food and Wine Festival route, “Food and wine festival started early in that gondola. Nice portion size at least.”

And last, but certainly not least, mzoltek said it was “The offishal mascot of the Disney skyliner.”

The Skyliner at Walt Disney World sees its share of the strange and unusual. Earlier this year, a woman went viral for flashing her chest on the Disney Skyliner.

Today, the Walt Disney Company announced the promotion of former human resources executive, Sonia Coleman, to Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer.

The promotion will be effective April 8, 2023, and she will report directly to Disney CEO Bob Iger.

Coleman’s most recent role was as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Disney Entertainment and ESPN. She will take over from Paul Richardson, who will be departing the company after more than 15 years of service at Disney.

According to Disney, Coleman “will be responsible for leading Disney’s human resources strategy, global talent acquisition, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, organizational design and cultural development, employee education and development, compensation, and benefits, HR operations and technology, and global security.”

Sonia_Coleman-491x614

“Sonia is widely respected across the company as a gifted leader and strong advocate for our employees,” Iger said. “Her proven expertise leading the human resources function for our general entertainment businesses and ESPN during a period of unprecedented transformation makes her the perfect choice to lead this function company-wide as we implement our new operating structure and position Disney to capitalize on the opportunities ahead. I also want to extend my thanks to Paul Richardson for his many years of service to the company and his contributions to numerous ongoing initiatives, including our Heroes Work Here veterans hiring program.”

“It is truly an honor to be named to this role, and I am grateful for the confidence that Bob has placed in me,” Coleman said. “Disney is unrivaled because of the talent, dedication, and enthusiasm of our cast members and employees. They are the key to our success, and I look forward to being their greatest champion, in partnership with our exceptional HR teams around the world, as we move forward through the important company-wide transformation underway that will truly empower the people behind the magic of Disney.”

As Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Disney Entertainment and ESPN, Coleman has overseen a range of responsibilities including employee development and engagement, recruitment and compensation, organizational development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. This includes managing the HR portfolio for both ESPN and Disney Entertainment’s broader portfolio of businesses such as ABC Entertainment, ABC News, ABC Owned Television Stations, Disney Branded Television, Disney Television Studios (including 20th Television, ABC Signature, 20th Television Animation, and Walt Disney Television Alternative), Freeform, FX, Hulu Originals, National Geographic Content, and Onyx Collective.

Prior to that, Coleman served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources for Disney General Entertainment from 2017. She also served as Vice President, Human Resources for the company from May 2016 and, in that capacity, oversaw HR strategy, change management initiatives, organizational development, and engagement strategies for Disney’s corporate, enterprise, and cross-functional employees, and served as the lead HR business partner to the company’s senior corporate executives. She was also responsible for employee relations for the company.

In 2008, Coleman became the Vice President of Human Resources for Disney Consumer Products, where she served for eight years. Before joining Disney, Coleman had accumulated human resource experience at several leading companies, including those on the Fortune 500 list.

We recently reported on other executive moves around the company, including the upcoming resignation of Daniel Delcourt, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Disneyland Paris. His responsibilities will be taken over by Christophe Murphy.

Last week, The Walt Disney Company also announced that effective Monday, March 20, 2023, Bruce Vaughn will be returning to Imagineering as Chief Creative Officer. He will work alongside Barbara Bouza, the current President of Walt Disney Imagineering.

He then led Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch in 1999, Golf Disneyland in 1999-2000, and Disney’s Sequoia Lodge in 2000-2002.

Between 2002 and 2007, Delcourt expanded his expertise as Head of the Entertainment Department, where he launched several shows, including for the 15th anniversary of the destination, and contributed to the opening of The Walt Disney Studios Park in 2002.

From 2007 to 2012, he served as the Vice President of Hotels and Business Solutions. Five years later, he moved to Disneyland Resort Anaheim in California to take on the role of Vice President of Hotels and Downtown Disney. In July 2014, he returned to Disneyland Paris as the Chief Operating Officer.

Christophe Murphy Disneyland Japan

Christophe Murphy has been with The Walt Disney Company for the last 32 years. Prior to his appointment as Vice President of Operations at Walt Disney Attractions Japan, Murphy has quite a history with Disneyland Paris.

According to his LinkedIn page, Murphy has held various positions at the Paris resort, including Vice President of Travel Operations, Digital & CRM, Director of Travel Operations for the Sales & Marketing Division, Director of Production & Entertainment Operations and Costuming Operations, Director of Food Park Operations, Director of Operations of Disney Village, Operations Manager at Hotel New York, and Manager of Disneyland Paris Security Operations, among other roles.

Judging by his resume, it appears that Murphy has a thorough understanding of the entire operation of Disneyland Paris.

Disneyland Paris 30 anniversary show

Disneyland Paris’s 30th-anniversary celebration kicked off last March and will come to an end on September 30, 2023. The 13-month celebration featured new shows, including the “Disney D-Light” projection and drone show, themed merchandise, and special food & beverage.

On a recent visit to the Magic Kingdom, we checked out how construction was coming along on the TRON Lightcycle / Run snack stand.

Last month, we reported that the snack stand had been set up in the courtyard of TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland. The stand is positioned on the side of the courtyard that is nearest to the Tomorrowland Speedway track.

TRON snack bar3

Although the snack stand is still behind construction walls and rolling planter screens, work continues to be ongoing in advance of the April opening.

With a curing panel on the front and similar shades of grey, Disney has given the food concession stand a similar aesthetic to the attraction.

As we rode the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, we had a clear view of some recent additions, including a new Coke-Cola refrigerator case that was installed to the right of the ordering window.

TRON snack bar2

The installation of placards that will eventually display the menu and prices of available items was another recent addition.

TRON snack bar2(1) close up 1

We believe that the as-yet-unnamed snack bar will open to guests when the attraction debuts on April 4. At present, we are uncertain about the range of menu items that will be available, but we are hopeful that the TRON lightcycle-shaped popcorn bucket, which was offered at TRON Lightcycle Power Run in Shanghai Disneyland upon its initial opening, will be introduced at Walt Disney World.

We were able to experience the attraction during the Cast Member previews. Check out our POV of the ride below:

“Dank Farrik!” It seems that if Jon Favreau, creator of “The Mandalorian”, had his way, Din Djarin’s ship would make a crash landing in a Disney Park. In a recent interview with IMDb, Favreau shared that the Razor Crest could be the perfect attraction for bringing “The Mandalorian” to Disney guests.

In an interview clip shared by IMDb, Favreau was asked if he thought about what a potential ride for “The Mandalorian” might look like. Judging by his response, it appears that he has given it a great deal of thought.

@imdb

That’s a huge yes on rides that make you feel sick. 🙏 #mandalorian #disneyworld #jonfavreau #kateesackhoff #imdb

Favreau said that his ideal attraction would “probably be in the Razor Crest.” The creator expanded on his plans for using Mando’s vessel, explaining that he sees an opportunity for using the show’s special effects for an experience that blends a behind-the-scenes feel with an energetic ride.

“I know when I was younger, I loved when they pulled the curtain back on the effects of the movies,” explained Favreau. “It really made me probably want to do what I’m doing now, so I think that there should be an educational component, but not educational like a museum reading a plaque — educational, like, sitting here; feel this; and here’s how we did it.”

the mandalorian volume shooting

He went on to say that he would probably “do something immersive,” developing advanced haptics as part of the attraction. He said he would even like to use the assets that they use in “The Volume.” “The Volume” is a cutting-edge filmmaking technology developed by ILM that replaces the traditional greenscreen with a more authentic and immersive backdrop. The Volume has been utilized in the productions of “The Mandalorian,” “The Book of Boba Fett,” and “Obi-Wan Kenobi.”

“It uses a massive, curved LED screen to create photorealistic backdrops, circumventing the need for outdoor locations or extensive physical sets,” writes Gavia Baker-Whitelaw, in the DailyDot. “As the camera moves within the Volume, the perspective and light sources shift to encourage the sensation of exploring a real environment.”

Katee Sackhoff, the actress who portrays Bo-Katan Kryze in the Disney+ series, also weighed in on what would make for the best ride to showcase “The Mandalorian”. Sackhoff proposed a new concept, which may seem far-fetched, especially for Disneyland. She suggested replacing the Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission BREAKOUT! attraction with a “Star Wars” ride. According to her, this would be “awesome” since the current ride is already one of her favorites.

She also presented another idea for a ride, which was more in line with Favreau’s concept. Since she has been flying a ship in the series, she suggested that a ride should be created based on a scene in which she is seen flying.

Recently, The Mandalorian and Grogu have been making appearances in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney has stated that the two will continue to make regular appearances in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, just like other characters, and are not a limited-time offering. There have been no announcements yet regarding any sort of attraction to showcase “The Mandalorian” but we remain hopeful, especially after Josh D’Amaro’s recent comments citing TRON Lightcycle / Run as just the “tip of the iceberg” for new Disney Parks attractions.

According to a panel at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim last summer, new destinations will soon be added to Star Tours: The Adventures Continue. No details were shared on the content of the new scenes or where they may take inspiration from, perhaps providing the perfect opportunity for an immersive “The Mandalorian” experience. Star Tours: The Adventures Continue is currently installed at Disneyland, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Tokyo Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris.

Season three of “The Mandalorian” is now streaming on Disney+. Check out our full deep dive into everything you should know about “The Mandalorian” before tuning in.

Today we visited Villain-Con Minion Blast Entrance Painted at Universal Studios Florida to see how the attraction was coming along.

We noticed that the middle arch over the entrance to Villian-Con has received a fresh coat of paint. We know it’s fresh because we saw them finish painting it right before we took our photos.

As you can see, the grey concrete now sports a vibrant, deep purple. The color coordinates with some of the colors in the “Welcome to Villian-Con” banners hanging from either side of the arch.

Compared to the photo below from earlier this week, you can see the arch without any color. However, if you look in the far upper right-hand corner, you’ll notice a small rectangular purple patch where the shade was tested.

Recently, we spotted a few new decorations added to the queue of Villain-Con, including the entrance banners and some additional steel structures taking shape at the Minion Cafe.

Universal Orlando Resort has just unveiled redesigned logos for their Florida resort. Universal Island of Adventure, Universal CityWalk, Universal Studios Florida, and Universal Volcano Bay have all received updated logos.

Universal Islands of Adventure theme park

Here is the new logo for Universal Islands of Adventure theme park. The park is home to a number of attractions including those themed to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, Seuss Landing, Jurassic Park, Marvel Super Hero Island, Port of Entry, The Lost Continent, Toon Lagoon, and Skull Island: Reign of Kong.

UOR Island of adventure logo

The new logo features a version of the original globe and compass design except the globe is solid red and not a map of the world as seen in the original logo below. The compass points have been toned down to a more weathered gold color as well. The Islands of Adventure wording also has seen some significant changes. The new logo is more refined and has a metallic-steel look to it.

Universals-Islands-of-Adventure old logo

Here are the attractions found at Universal Islands of Adventure:

  • Jurrasic World VelociCoaster
  • Jurassic Park River Adventure
  • Skull Island: Reign of Kong
  • Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure
  • Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
  • Hogwarts Express – Hogsmeade Station
  • Flight of the Hippogriff
  • The Cat in the Hat
  • The High in the Sky Seuss Trolly Train Ride
  • One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
  • Caro-Seuss-el
  • Dudley Do-Right’s Rip Saw Falls
  • Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barge
  • Pteranodon Flyers
  • Storm Force Acceleration
  • The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman
  • The Incredible Hulk Coaster
  • Dr. Doom’s Fearfall

Universal CityWalk

In February 1999, the Universal CityWalk opened in Orlando as part of the expansion that turned Universal Studios Florida into the Universal Orlando Resort, featuring a mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. The CityWalk was constructed on the site of the former Universal Studios parking lot and entrance. Visitors arrive at the resort and park their cars in the two-story parking garages before taking covered moving walkways over Universal Boulevard and into CityWalk. Once there, they can enter either of the two theme parks: Universal Studios Florida or Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

The redesigned logo has a contemporary feel with “Universal” in gold tones, “City” in fading pastel purples, and “Walk,” which has a neon sign effect, in vibrant purple.

UOR city walk logo

As you can see the new logo is quite a departure from the previous two logos below. The multi-colored one, which dates from 1999-2018, has a rock-n-roll-style design. On a solid black background, 1960s-style graphics in purple, red, and orange intersect with an orange triangle. “CityWalk” is written a jagged style with “Universal Studios” above and “Orlando” found below.

UOR citywalk logo old

This more modern logo replaced the rock-n-roll-style logo in 2018. It was much cleaner with “Universal” and “Orlando” against lime green rectangles and “CityWalk” in large block letter.

Universal Studios Florida

Universal Studios Florida, alternatively called Universal Studios or USF, opened on June 7, 1990. It is mainly inspired by movies, television, and other forms of entertainment. It boasts a wide range of rides, attractions, and live shows.

The park has attractions themed to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley, Hollywood, New York, Production Central, San Francisco, Springfield: Home of the Simpsons, Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone, and World Expo.

UOR Universal Studios logo

Above is the new logo for Universal Studios Florida. It didn’t deviate too far from the present one, however, it does have a crisper look to it. The most recent logo, from 2017, is below for comparison. The two simpler logos beneath that – one in blue and the other in black – were simplified print versions of the detailed logo.

The new logo differs from the previous one in several ways. Firstly, the detailed imagery of the earth has been substituted with solid, three-dimensional representations of the continents. Additionally, the logo now appears on a white background, and the text “Universal Studios Florida” has been rendered in solid gold tones. The wording no longer possesses the three-dimensional, cinematic quality of the previous version.

Attractions currently found at Universal Studios Florida are:

  • Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts
  • Despicable Me Minion Mayhem
  • Revenge of the Mummy
  • E.T. Adventure
  • Fast and Furious: Supercharged
  • Hogwarts Express: King’s Cross Station
  • Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
  • Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl
  • Men in Black Alien Attack
  • Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon
  • The Simpsons Ride
  • TRANSFORMERS: The Ride 3D

Universal Volcano Bay

Volcano Bay, also known as Universal’s Volcano Bay Water theme park, took over Wet ‘n Wild’s spot as the water park of Universal Orlando Resort and was the first water park created by Universal. The park features a tropical theme centered on a towering 200-foot (61 m) volcano, Krakatau, and opened to guests on May 25, 2017.

UOR volcano bay logo

There is a notable contrast between the new logo, positioned above, and its predecessor below. The updated logo has a more formal appearance, whereas the former one conveyed a playful tone.

Both logos incorporate the imagery of a volcano and water, yet the new version features a golden outline while the previous design was a basic light green line drawing.

Furthermore, the water graphics display a significant divergence. As a water park, the new logo prominently showcases realistic water graphics, whereas the old logo depicted a basic graphic with shades of dark and light blue.

Today has been a big news day for Universal. First, they unveiled a name change to their parks & resorts division, then they released concept art for the Super Nintendo World Donkey Kong Coaster coming to Universal Studios Japan and Epic Universe, and then debuted a new logo for the upcoming Epic Universe theme park at Universal Orlando Resort.

Today is International Women’s Day and The Walt Disney Company is celebrating the day in a variety of ways.

The Disney Parks Blog has highlighted five women who are creating “magic at Disney Parks.”

Disney says that their global theme parks “would not be what they are today without the hard work and creativity of thousands of women all around the world.”

At Disneyland Paris, the resort is celebrating with a special Minnie Mouse-themed planter outside the park’s entrance and a special exhibition honoring female MARVEL artists.

Adeline Bardy, Live Entertainment Production Coordinator

Celebrations take place for International Women's Day at Disney parks around the world.

Currently, Disneyland Paris is celebrating their 30th anniversary with two exclusive live shows, “Avengers: Power the Night” and “Disney D-Light.” The utilization of drone technology, fireworks, and digital mapping in these two shows has proven to be a hit among guests.

Disney Parks International Womens Day2.2

Bardy worked to support the production of these two shows as well as “The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands.” She collaborates closely with the creative, artistic, technical, and operational teams to give birth to new shows.

“Our role is to make people forget about the technology that goes into these shows,” Adeline stated. “Instead, it feels like they are witnessing magic. I love watching ‘Disney D-Light’ and seeing how happy it makes the guests. There’s a quick second of silence when the drones appear, which is followed by cheers and applause.”

Fiona Yu, Production Director at Hong Kong Disneyland

Fiona Yu, Production Director at Hong Kong Disneyland, worked closely with the creative and technical teams on bringing “Momentous” to life at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. The show is a nighttime spectacular that premiered in 2022. It uses large-scale projection mapping technology that highlights and transforms the Castle of Magical Dreams as the narrative unfolds.

Disney Parks International Womens Day3.1

“The most exciting thing about the show is that it can resonate with anyone,” Fiona said. “The first chapter, ‘TIME BEGINS,’ reminds me of watching my own children grow up. And the third chapter, ‘TIME TO CHANGE,’ reminds me of my strength in facing difficulties.”

Aimee Berkeley, Director of Entertainment and Costuming, Walt Disney Attractions Japan

Believe! Sea of Dreams,” at Tokyo Disney Resort utilizes projection mapping technology and gliding barges to create an immersive entertainment experience on the Mediterranean Harbor. The show made its debut in November 2022.

Aimee Berkeley, Director of Entertainment and Costuming, was one of many women who lead the show’s successful debut at Tokyo Disney.

“In the live entertainment business, technology and innovation are at the forefront of all that we do,” says Berkeley. “It is the innovative work performed by those in technical roles within entertainment that provide us with awe-inspiring moments in our shows.”

Disney states that “Aimee worked with a number of women who played key roles in bringing the show to life and ushering in new technology.”

Michelle Wang, Entertainment Lighting Designer

Disney Parks International Womens Day5

Michelle Wang, an entertainment lighting designer was part of the team that brought Shanghai Disney Resort’s nighttime spectacular, “ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration,” to life.

“Michelle learned about elements like which types of light fixtures to use, fixture positions, special effects, light intensity, color palettes, and more,” stated Disney. “She continues to apply this knowledge and skill set to many other live entertainment experiences at the resort, with the goal of perfecting the shows while also ensuring the safety of performers.”

“I got to stand among our guests during the opening night of ‘ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration’,” Michelle shared. “In that moment, when I heard the cheering and applause, and saw the absolute joy in the crowd, I felt extremely proud to be part of the team and I knew all of our hard work was worth it.”

Stephanie Duffy, Lead Digital Product Operations Manager at Walt Disney World Resort

From My Disney Experience app, the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, and the “Hey Disney!” digital voice assistant, Stephanie Duffy, Lead Digital Product Operations Manager supported these and other technology-based projects at Disney.

“Earlier in my career, there weren’t very many women in roles like mine. Even then, I always made the effort to find women leaders to mentor me. Now, I see more women in the digital technology space at Disney, and it is encouraging to know we have more mentors than ever before as it remains something I’m passionate about.”

“When women support women, the sky is the limit,” Stephanie shared when asked what her advice is for young women looking to grow in their careers. “Disney is an amazing place to work, and there are so many opportunities to learn and grow as a professional if you know where to look.”

Alison Moore, Food & Beverage Operations Manager at Disney California Adventure Park

Disney Parks International Womens Day7.1

One of the many reasons why guests love visiting a Disney Park is for the food. Alison Moore, Food & Beverage Operations Manager at Disney California Adventure Park has been responsible for many of the innovations over at the Disneyland Resort

Among Moore’s many responsibilities in the food & beverage department, she was responsible for the new plant-based offerings at Disneyland Resort’s Paradise Garden Grill. The first-ever fully plant-based menu, launched on March 3, 2023.

“Innovation is a huge part of everything that we do on a daily basis within the F&B team,” Allison said. “Our various leaders and chefs have to regularly stay on top of trends within the industry and find unique ways to keep the resort at the forefront of what is happening with our offerings. This focus on plant-based menu items is just one example of the work that we’re doing on a regular basis to innovate our F&B offerings at Disneyland Resort.”

“Welcome to the Women of Marvel exhibition, celebrating MARVEL’s female artists’ and Super Hero,” read the exhibition plaque.

“This collection of comic book covers includes works by some of our favorite artists from around the world and features some of your favorite Super Hero.

Learn more about the origins and powers of these iconic and groundbreaking heroes who define the MARVEL Universe as you enjoy the artistic talents of the real-life Women of Marvel who illustrated them. Just like every Super Hero has her own journey, every artist has her own process.”

International Women’s Day! In honor of this global celebration, I wanted to highlight two initiatives you all can enjoy at our resort.

At the entrance of Disneyland Park, the traditional flowerbed that welcomes guests has been transformed by our Nature & Environment teams to honor the one and only Minnie Mouse.

Meanwhile, an exclusive exhibition is showcasing six super talented female MARVEL artists and their art at the Jack Kirby Legacy Gallery of Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. You can enjoy both of these experiences for the weeks to come, so make sure to go check it out!

This is also an excellent occasion to celebrate all of our female Cast Members and their allies, who help make magic each and every day for thousands of guests. Thank you for all you do!

While it’s customary for Disney Parks to adorn their flowerbed entrances with Mickey Mouse, for the next few weeks, Disneyland Park will showcase Minnie Mouse as the primary centerpiece of their classic flowerbed. This has been a recurring practice at the park for a few years and is a favorite among visitors.

Minnie’s figure, along with her ears, nose, and mouth, is crafted out of evergreen foliage, while her iconic bow and facial features are composed of an array of red and white blooms.

The Minnie Mouse flowerbed will be on display until March 30.
