However, as of August of 2023, together Ravensburger and Disney will be jumping into an entirely new game market- the competitive world of trading card gaming!

What is a TCG?

A TCG, or trading card game, is a card game played with usually two players, although Lorcana has said it supports multi-player versions as well! If you’ve heard of games such as Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, or Yu-Gi-Oh!, then you’ve heard of a TCG. The goal of these types of games is to mix strategic deck building with the features of trading cards. They’re typically sold with a starter set of cards or a starter deck, along with booster packs. While the starter set of cards or starter decks are sold with a pre-determined selection of cards, booster packs contain a set number of cards that are completely random; essentially after buying a starter set, you’ll buy more and more booster packs to complete your set and own every card that’s been released.

So, What Exactly is Lorcana Then?

According to the official game rules (which got spoiled earlier this week) when you play Lorcana, “you race to locate pieces of lore scattered across Lorcana and collect them for safekeeping. Summon glimmers of Disney characters and items along the way to help with quests, hinder your opponents, and challenge opposing characters. With the right strategy and a bit of luck, you can preserve your collected lore against future threats!” To do this, you’ll build a deck of sixty cards that you’ve collected (don’t worry, complete pre-assembled decks will be available to purchase so you don’t need to fully build one!) of different Disney characters, items, and even songs, and set out on a quest against another player! The first player to gain 20 or more lore wins.

Why Should I, a Disney Parks Fan, Care?

It’s understandable that not everyone is going to be excited about this game. Some people just aren’t into card games, and I understand it. The rules can be daunting, and the communities that play these games are huge! But, I do believe even Disney Parks fans who aren’t into the card game aspect should give Lorcana a shot, at least once.

For starters, the content that makes up this game is completely Disney. Our favorite characters – from princesses, to the Fab Five, to villains – are all involved in the game! Not only that but items from the movies, such as a Dinglehopper, can be used to aid your character in their quest. Another feature of the game is songs, where characters can “sing” a song (an example being One Jump Ahead from Aladdin) that grants them a positive effect in the game. There’s something really fun about looking at the card art and quotes on the cards of your favorite characters, and it brings you into this fantasy world.

On the topic of art, it has been confirmed that art on the cards will be done traditionally, seeing the characters and items as we’re used to seeing them, but there will also be alternative cards released. There are two other categories of cards, known as “Dreamborn” and “Floodborn” that will give us looks at character designs that we’ve never seen before! For example, below we see a “Dreamborn” Hercules card, with imagery of Hercules wearing a Scar helmet. Disney artists that can be found at the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, such as Bill Robinson, have contributed art to this game.

Along with the game being immersive and bringing us into our favorite worlds, the products for this game will be available for purchase within the Disney Parks, as well as shopDisney. While it hasn’t been confirmed, it is expected that there will be parks-exclusive cards available once they are sold.

It is also rumored that a play space for the game could be coming to the parks, due to the League Play rules that have been released. “The Lorcana League gives you a fun and friendly way to play, trade and collect with other Illumineers. In League play, local game stores will host 12 weeks of events, broken up into three rounds. You can earn League points, win or lose, by participating in casual Disney Lorcana matches (best two of three games) and through Lorcana related activities, such as teaching someone how to play. Prizes are awarded to most of the participants, and those with the most points in each round are given a modest additional prize.” Others have speculated that a world tournament could be held at the next D23 event. As far as the prize support that is mentioned above, it is been confirmed that along with standard prizes such as cards or tokens, pins will also be included in prize support

To Conclude

If you’re into Lorcana for the competitive card game aspect, or for simply collecting the cards, there’s something here for every Disney fan!

Disney Lorcana will be released at Gen Con in early August 2023, with specialty stores (check with your friendly local game store) following on August 18. After that, a full mass-market retail launch will happen on September 1, which includes availability on shopDisney.

Grilled Vegetable Bruschetta with Marinated Peppers, Zucchini, Squash, Artichokes, Goat Cheese and Balsamic Glaze on Grilled Ciabatta – $5.00

While the menu says “ciabatta”, this looked like French bread to us. While the toppings are served cold over warm bread, you can taste each flavor in every bite. Although, we thought it could use a dash more salt.

The goat cheese was a great addition and goes perfectly with the vegetables. We would have liked more!

The balsamic glaze adds a little touch of sweetness. Honestly, this is a great snack to get your loop around the Flower & Garden Festival booths started.

*NEW* Grilled Swordfish with crushed fingerling potatoes, pea and mint purée, grilled asparagus, and lemon beurre Blanc – $8.25

Upon receiving our plate, we were met with the very distinct smell of “freshly grilled.” The swordfish reflected that as well, with beautiful grill marks on both the fish and the asparagus.

We thought the fish itself was super tender and fresh. Cooking swordfish isn’t exactly an easy thing to do, it’s very easy to overcook it, which leaves the fish dry and tough, but this was perfectly moist and soft. In fact, we ate the entire thing with a fork, no knife needed!

As far as taste goes, this was a bit on the spicier side, which we didn’t expect from reading the ingredients. However, the lemon beurre Blanc sauce does a great job of cutting through that spice and adding a nice acidic, buttery taste to calm down the heat. The fish also comes with asparagus and potatoes, which complement the fish nicely and rounds out the plate.

Our only gripe is the mint and pea purée which seem a bit out of place on this plate. However, if you’re a fan of fresh fish, this is absolutely one of the better seafood dishes we’ve had from an EPCOT food festival, and would come back for it.

Strawberry Rhubarb Upside-Down Cake served with Crème Fraîche Whipped Cream – $4.75

This dessert was very fruit-forward, coming off as tart, but still very good.

The cake was very moist, but that wasn’t a bad thing. You could taste the rhubarb, which was subtle and complimented the strawberry nicely.

While the white dollop next to the cake might look like ice cream, it’s actually fresh whipped cream. It was delicious! The whole dish was amazing and rounded out a trio of rather impressive items.

*NEW* Strawberry-Rhubarb Cocktail – $11.50

This drink is not listed on the official menu but is offered with the Springtime menu rotation at EPCOT Farmers Feast. This fact alone makes us think this was a late addition to the menu, and unfortunately, it tastes like it as well. The overall flavor profile is incredibly sweet and this tasted more like a strawberry lemonade.

There wasn’t a strong vodka taste, nor could we taste any of the Rhubarb liquor that’s listed to be in the drink. We did appreciate the fresh strawberry garnish, but overall this whole cocktail feels like an overly sweet afterthought. For $11.50, we felt the vodka should have been a bit stronger, but this feels light on the alcohol side. We’d recommend skipping this.

*NEW* Collective Arts Brewing Blueberry Elderberry Sparkling Hard Tea, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada – $5.50 for 6 oz., $9.50 for 12 oz.

From Collective Arts Brewing: “This Sparkling Hard Tea is brewed with delicate White Tea leaves from the Fujian province of China, but finds its thrill with a sweet, tart boost from all-natural dried blueberries and just a tinge of earthy elderberries. Made from a malt base with real botanicals. 0g of sugar.”

*NEW* Ghost Mary: Translucent Bloody Mary with Boyd & Blair Cucumber Vodka, Tomato Water, Horseradish, Celery Salt, and a hint of Pepper – $11.50

This tastes like a watered down Bloody Mary, or at least a light version. It has an acidic tomato-y flavor, while the vodka can barely be tasted.

The whole thing is watered down and muddled, accompanied by three cherry tomatoes on the bottom. This proved to be the most off-putting beverage we’ve had in a while. Skip this.

California Artisan Cheese Plate – $8.50

Featuring Marin French Cheese Co. Jalapeño Triple Cream Brie, Fiscalini Farmstead Purple Moon Cheddar & Craft Beer Cheddar

The two cheddars were both very good. The purple moon cheddar is soaked in red wine to get its purple hue, and you can definitely taste the wine. It’s a perfect pairing for wine and cheese, although we had paired it with the mimosas. The craft beer cheddar was not as flavorful. Soaked in an imperial stout during the cheesemaking process, we expected a much more poignant beer flavor, but there was almost none.

The jalapeño triple cream brie was just an average brie. Very little of the jalapeño flavor came through and it was not as creamy as we would have expected for a triple. The consistency reminded us of goat cheese. The accompaniments (red grapes, sugar-coated pecans, dried apricots and dried cranberries) were all mediocre. They’re necessary, but ultimately not worth the effort. The pecans were especially disappointing, as they were practically flavorless, and the sugar coating didn’t do anything to help.

*NEW* Celebration Chocolate Fudge Brownie – $6.50

Gooey Chocolate Brownie with Pecans, topped with Chocolate Pecan Glaze and finished with Chocolate Pearls and Silver Stars

Beneath the gooey, somewhat artificial chocolate pecan glaze is an impenetrable brick of a brownie. The brownie stood up valiantly against our plastic flatware, eventually giving way.

It provided a disappointing bite that made us wish the flatware had broken instead.

The steep-sided metal tin it’s served in didn’t help matters as much of it stuck to the edges.

This one needs to go back to the drawing board, as there’s nothing worth celebrating here.

*NEW* Century of Magic Mimosa Flight – $18.00

1923: Prosecco, White Cranberry Juice, White Peach Syrup and Lemon Juice, 1939: Prosecco, Pineapple & Orange Juices, with Passion Fruit and Guava Nectar, 1955: Prosecco, Dragon Fruit & Rose Syrups and Lemon Juice

The combination of prosecco, white cranberry juice, white peach syrup and lemon juice in the 1923 Mimosa tasted simpler than it sounds. This hit all the right notes. It’s light, refreshing and simple, and proved to be our favorite of the three. Meanwhile, they say the rule for a mimosa is that the “juice is just for color,” but the 1939 Mimosa throws that out the window. This is essentially prosecco with POG (passion fruit, orange and guava) juice with some hints of pineapple. The prosecco was somewhat buried between all these competing flavors, and tasted more like breakfast at ‘Ohana in Walt Disney World than a mimosa. By far the driest offering was the 1955 Mimosa. The alcohol was more prominent than the 1939, with dry prosecco up front and the rest of the flavors relegated to supporting duties. If you prefer a sweeter drink, you can probably skip this one.

All in all, they make for a interesting taste through Disney history, though it does come in fairly small portions, even for a tasting flight.

This is an average burrata. The pesto and tomato combined do make for a great mix of flavors.

Crackers & Cheese – $8.00

House-made Herb Crackers with White Cheddar Fromage Blanc, Spicy Salami Spread and Cherry Jam

This is a nice mix of sweet and savory. The creamy cheese is delicately seasoned with herbs, and the Rosemary cracker is just that step up, making this a more sophisticated treat for the festival.

That said, it does get messy when eating and can’t be cut through, so isn’t a great treat for walking around the festival.

Mickey Mouse Shaped Macaron made with SNICKERS® – $6.75

Chocolate Mickey Macaron filled with Caramel Ganache and SNICKERS® Bar Pieces

Like many others at Disneyland Resort, this macaron is rich and sweet.

The peanut flavor gives this a strong character reminiscent of a Snickers bar.

We enjoyed it, but it’s a heavy treat that could easily be shared between two or three people.

*NEW* Flowers & Bees – $16.00

Gin, Elderflower Liqueur, Lemon Juice, Honey, Hibiscus & Lavender Syrups, garnished with a Purple Pansy

Wow, this drink tastes overwhelmingly like honey. There’s nothing else which comes through.

Most of the other flavors are pushed to the side as a result, but the drink is still tasty and refreshing, perfect for a nice spring day.

Artichoke & Roasted Garlic Cream Cheese with Sun-dried Tomatoes, Pickled Onions and Lemon Olive Oil-drizzled Micro Greens

This is fantastic. The crust is a bit thicker than the beet flatbread at Golden Dreams. The slightly roasted artichokes are wonderfully prepared, and the pickled onions and cheese spread adds a perfect amount of kick. If you heart artichokes like we do, you’ll love this. 

Artichoke Toast with Olive Tapenade – $6.75

Toasted Sliced Baguette with Artichoke Cream Cheese, topped with Olive & Artichoke Tapenade and drizzled with Olive Oil

We loved the artichoke toast and would probably eat it again! It’s one of the biggest portions for the price throughout the entire festival.

The toast was crisp and crunchy on the outside while still soft on the inside. The only complaint we have is that there was too much olive tapenade on top.

Passion Fruit Rum Cocktail – $16.00

White Rum, Italian Amaro, Passion Fruit Nectar, Orange & Lime Juices and Guava Purée, garnished with an Orange Wedge

This drink is heavy on the passion fruit flavor, which is exceptional, but the taste of the rum is nearly lost. It’s cool, sweet, refreshing, and straightforward.

The passion fruit overpowers the other flavors. It’s not an unpleasant drink, but it’s not what we were looking forward to when we read the menu description.

Potato Bites with Braised Beef Short Rib, Cheese Curds, Stout Gravy and Lager Micro Sponge

This is a solid offering. The tots instead of fries is a nice change. They were somewhat crispy and the beef was perfectly tender. We didn’t really notice the barley crumbles.

It reminded us of the poutine from Refreshment Port at EPCOT, which is a favorite of many.

Cubano Slider – $8.75

Slow-roasted, Mustard-crusted Pork and Sliced Smoked Ham with Melted Swiss Cheese and Pickle, served on a Hawaiian Roll

The slider was delicious!

The bun was nice and soft, and the meat was moist with a nice crisp pickle to add some texture.

The slider had a nice flavor, and overall, this was a well-executed dish we would get again.

*NEW* Apricot Tequila Colada – $15.00

Reposado Tequila, Aperol, Apricot Purée, Coconut Cream and Orange & Lime Juices, garnished with a Lime Wheel

You can definitely taste the tequila. Apricot is not a common flavor base for an alcoholic drink but it’s a refreshing change. We didn’t get much of a coconut flavor, which is disappointing if you’re a piña colada fan. But this is still one of the better drinks at the festival.

Sake-Melon ’75 – $15.00

Sake, Ginger Liqueur, Prosecco, Rock Melon Syrup and Lemongrass Citron Purée, garnished wtih an Edible Purple Orchid

The melon sake drink was delicious and refreshing. We would get this one again. We can’t taste the sake at all.

It tasted like a sweet ginger beer with really light carbonation from the Prosecco. Overall very good; just make sure to mix it well, so you don’t end up with all the syrup on the bottom.

IPA Sausage Dog – $7.25

on a Soft Pretzel Roll with Onion-Pepper Jardinière, Cheddar Cheese Sauce and Malt Vinegar Onion Crunch

This dish demonstrates that an overall meal can be far less than the sum of its parts.

The sausage is good, and the bun is decent. Even the processed nacho cheese is fine on its own or when paired with the crispy jalapeno strips.

Each of the individual components alone is fine, but there’s way too much going on overall.

It’s hard to get a grasp on any individual flavor. It’s almost like they’re trying to cram the entire ballpark experience into every single bite, and it’s just a bit overwhelming.

The wings are fantastic. It has a dry rub, to keep your face and hands a bit cleaner, and a spicy kick that hits all the right notes. We would get these again without hesitation.

featuring Fiscalini Farmstead Smoked Cheddar with Dill Pickles on Salt & Pepper Brioche

This is nothing special. It has a decent amount of meat, but it’s not especially flavorful brisket. We have the feeling that neither the brisket nor the wings are actually smoked at all. They certainly don’t taste like they are.

Truthfully, the best part of the slider is the bun, which is sprinkled with cracked pepper. It’s very good, but it doesn’t make up for the mediocre filling.

We’re not usually mezcal fans, and this doesn’t make us want to change our minds. Still, as a drink, it’s fairly good, and not too sweet. The cherry isn’t overpowering, but it doesn’t tasted smoked either.

Chile Relleno Empanada – $8.50

with Arbol Pepper Salsa and Oaxaca & Cotija Cheeses

This is the spicier of the options here and really delivers on the heat promised by all of the peppered signs around the booth. The creamy red pepper sauce on top is responsible for much of the spice, with the inside being pepper-flavored, not extremely hot. For any fans of the classic Mexican dish, this really is a unique take on the chile relleno, and something we weren’t expecting to like so much!

*NEW* Camarones a la Diabla – $8.50

Spicy Shrimp with California Chile and Cilantro Rice

The fishy odor of the shrimp is obliterated by the delicious but very spicy sauce. We would definitely get this again but are somewhat suspicious of the quality of the shrimp. And the sauce is not for the faint of heart.

Cantarito-Style Paloma – $15.00

Reposado Tequila, Habanero-infused Pineapple Juice, Lime Juice, Rock Melon Syrup and Fresca®, garnished with a Pineapple Wheel and Chile-Lime Seasoning

This drink was sweet, spicy, and very fruity. It’s light and refreshing compared to other beverages available at the festival, but people may not like how spicy it is. This is one of the less syrupy options at the festival.

This tastes like frozen corn chowder and we really liked it.

Like the frozen guacamole from last year, this is LA in a popsicle. It’s a big winner.

with Basil Pesto

This was almost inedible. The flatbread was hard and flavorless, like cardboard. The beets were tasty, and the pesto was okay. The latter was similar to the pesto from the burrata at Nuts About Cheese. Unfortunately, the dish could not overcome the poorly executed flatbread disaster.

*NEW* Central California Cooler – $6.75

Peach Purée, Apple, Orange & Lemon Juices, garnished with an Apple Chip

This drink tastes like a mixture of apple cider and a few other fruit juices. Kids should like it, but adults will think it needs alcohol.

This has great berry flavors and a truly good cheesecake base. We give it high marks.

Blueberry Buttermilk Pie – $6.50

The blueberry buttermilk pie was a hard no for us. It tasted uncooked and doughy, and we could not taste the blueberries.

The pie was just a gooey mess. Pass on this.

*NEW* Blueberry Pancake Cold Brew – $6.75

Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co.® Mexico Origin Coffee, Maple, Brown Butter & Demerara Syrup and Oat Milk, with a Blueberry Sweet Cream made with Cream, Oat Milk, Vanilla Syrup, Blueberry Syrup and Purée, garnished with Cinnamon-flavored Cereal Crumble

Surprisingly, this was great! It needs to be stirred up to get all the flavors, but then it was delicious and refreshing, just like a plate of blueberry pancakes.

The 2023 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will be running from March 3 to April 25, 2023.

While it may not be Knott’s Berry Farm, the Berry Patch is still worth checking out if you happen to visit the festival!

Glazed BBQ Pork Belly – $9.00

with Furikake-Togarashi Mac Salad

This is a delicious glazed pork belly. It’s not too heavy on the sauce, and the flavor is excellent if a little salty.

However, the dish has a soggy, goopy texture from the fat. With pork belly, it’s usually served crispy to keep the fat from running all over, but when done in this way, we find ourselves digging through the fat to get at the delicious meat. It’s more like an extra fatty pot roast than a traditional pork belly slice.

The macaroni salad is spectacular. The furikake-togarashi seasoning provides a surprising and very welcome pop of flavor to the cool and creamy Mac salad. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed this dish and would definitely get it again.

Impossible Gyro-Inspired Naan – $8.00

Gyro-inspired Flatbread featuring Impossible Ground Beef with Chipotle Hummus, Tzatziki and Spiced Crispy Chickpeas

The gyro is a decent vegetarian option, but it’s spicier than it needs to be.

The pita underneath was dry and tasteless, really it was just a vessel for the toppings.

The “meat” mixture tastes like goo, but the cucumber tzatziki topping is cooling and super fresh. We enjoyed the dried chickpeas, but those were spicier than needed

*NEW* Echo Park Cooler – $7.00

Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co.® Ceylon & Raspberry Rose Tea, Raspberry Purée, Lychee & Rose Syrups and Lime Juice, garnished with a Lime Wheel

Echo Park Cooler is a non-alcoholic, refreshing fruit punch. No tricks, nothing fancy. Just a delicious way to cool down. It would go great with any number of alcohol additions.

A list of the items that are part of the Garden Graze can be found in a festival passport as well as on signs in World Showcase.

Cast Members will stamp your passport when you purchase the corresponding treat. Though, as we learned, you can swap out items from the same Outdoor Kitchen, as long as you purchase an item at each of the five.

For our Garden Graze, we selected items that were new to the festival this year.

Grilled Street Corn on the Cob with Savory Garlic Spread and Spicy Corn Chips – $5.75

The corn isn’t as juicy as just a really good piece of corn.

The spicy chips taste like spicy crushed-up Doritos. Weirdly, the chips give off both heat and a salt and vinegar flavor.

There’s also a Tabasco-like taste because of the vinegar undertone, as well as a touch of garlic. The spice is honestly overwhelming. It’s too much of one thing overpowering something else.

To sum it up, it’s like spicy Doritos crunched up on corn. It’s not bad, but we don’t think we’d get it again.

Hummus Trio: Traditional Hummus, Red-Beet-and-Black-Garlic Hummus, and Avocado-Herb Hummus, served with Moroccan Bread and Crispy Papadam – $5.25

The traditional hummus tastes like normal hummus. It’s fresh and tastes better than the kind you’d get at the grocery store. The beet hummus has a sweeter taste to it. It usually has a tang,  but it’s nice that it’s sweet and interesting. The avocado herb hummus tastes like bad guacamole. It has a lot of lemon in it and tons of lemon seed.

If you’re plant-based, this could be a good option. The best hummus is the red beet and black garlic hummus. The bread and the chips are a good accompaniment to the dips. The bread is doughy and fresh, while the chips are perfectly thin, which is great because the hummus is thick.

Impossible Lumpia with Thai Sweet Chili Sauce – $5.50

For being plant-based, this dish isn’t bad! The meat substitute used is pretty comparable to the real deal. The one complaint that we had was the exterior of the pastry is a bit tough. Aside from that, the Thai chili sauce adds a pleasant sweetness to the entire dish. For just $5.50, this is a pretty good deal as for each order you receive five rolls.

Chocolate Cake with Blackcurrant Ganache, Mixed Berry Compote and Chocolate Ice Cream – $5.00

We have to admit, this dessert may not be for us. Between the color of the cake being reminiscent of sod, and the texture being grainy like eating dirt, it’s safe to say, we aren’t fans of this.

However, if you’re someone on a plant-based diet, this may be perfect for you. We did find that the berry compote helped out the cake, and the ice cream was actually really good, to the point we couldn’t tell that it was plant-based.

Cookies ‘n “Cream” Chocolate Mousse Cup – $5.50

This just tastes like a regular chocolate mousse. It’s good but not exceptional.

It’s light and fluffy.

The flower on top is crispy and from Living with the Land — so if you want to eat an attraction, get this.

Reward: Mango-Lime Dole Whip in a Collector Cup

Doing the Garden Graze is always fun, but we wish we could order this Dole Whip just by itself!

This is an extremely refreshing dessert and a great serving size. As the name suggests, the flavor is Mango Lime, however, we really only get the lime flavor. It can be a bit tart, so if that isn’t for you, we may recommend purchasing the tangerine Dole Whip available at the Refreshment Outpost.

Wow! One sip and you can instantly taste the alcohol in this cocktail. This drink is made with Tito’s, the finest of the cheap vodkas on the market, and for a premixed beverage, this isn’t bad.

The elderflower flavor is pretty prominent on the front end, whereas the lemonade isn’t nearly as strong. After a few more sips we were able to get the more tart flavor we expected from the lemonade, so perhaps this drink just needs to be stirred more. All in all, if you like lemonade, you should like this cocktail!

Spicy Mala Chicken Skewer with Creamy Peanut Sauce – $6.75

The chicken was a little dry, but the sauce was spicy and sweet. This had a real spicy kick and we liked it, but each bite had a different taste, giving it a somewhat inconsistent palate. Overall, it’s still a decent option.

House-Made Cheesy Crab Wontons – $7.75

The wontons are fine, but they didn’t have a lot of crab. You get two wontons for the price, and they’re pretty tasty, so if you’re in the mood for these, we wouldn’t discourage it.

*NEW* Pan-Fried Vegetable Dumplings – $5.25

While the presentation of this dish is pretty, that’s the only compliment we can give it. The top of a dumpling should be crunchy, but this was basically a rock. It was incredibly hard to cut through and resembled what we think chewing plastic is probably like.

It’s vile. It’s tough. The flavor isn’t good. This is probably one of the worst dishes we’ve had. If you’re looking for something similar, we recommend the spring rolls from the quick service in this pavilion.

Classic Bubble Milk Tea (Non-Alcoholic) – $7.75

This milk tea is fantastic. It’s sweet, but not overly so, and the boba pearls provide a licorice-like flavor to counter the milk. It’ll certainly help with anything spicy!

Kung Fu Master: Tito’s Vodka ($17/bottle), Triple Sec, Mango, Orange Juice and Soda Water – $14.50

The China pavilion has two things going for it: Nine Dragons, and heavy pours. Whether it’s the drinks from The Joy of Tea booth or their festival booth, the pours are always large and in charge. The Kung Fu Punch highlights and exploits this by being a drink that tastes very alcohol-forward and feels boozy. It’s a bright, semi-sweet, flavorful drink. with a nice fruity flavor. It clearly has an orange flavor, though some in our crowd thought it tasted like peach. This was a crowd favorite. The price to have a solid drink like this isn’t a horrible deal, especially at EPCOT.

Tang Dynasty: Jose Cuervo Especial Tequila Gold ($18/bottle), Light Rum, Strawberry, Piña Colada Mix, Soda Water and White Boba Pearls – $13.75

This was beyond weird. We couldn’t taste any alcohol. Zero. None. It tasted like a fruity seltzer with boba in it, which isn’t necessarily bad. At this price, you would probably want to taste some alcohol. Hopefully, this dynasty doesn’t last too long.

*NEW* Tropical Moon: Smirnoff Vodka ($11/bottle), Triple Sec, Passion Fruit, Soda Water and White Boba Pearls – $13.75

Due to the color, it may be difficult to see, but there are boba pearls in this drink. However, the boba in this drink is unlike any others that we’ve had before, it’s almost like these were soft. And not in a good way. The texture resembled jello. Beyond that though, this drink was refreshing and the taste was pretty good. If you can overlook the weird boba pearls, we actually really enjoyed this.
