The room is covered in texture, recreating the cold atmosphere of Arendelle, with ice and snow bubbling from the walls, and making up the beds. There are life-size Anna and Elsa inspired statues in the room, bringing the characters to life in an outdoor forest setting. The best thing about the room, however, is the show.

Upon entering the room, you can press a button, turn the corner, and watch the show lighting begin to create what feels like a mini Broadway experience. The room is equipped with tons of moving lights with projections as well that are all times and synchronized to the hit song “Show Yourself” sung by Elsa in “Frozen 2.” It truly captivates you through the entire experience and brings the idea of theming in a vacation home to an unseen and unmatched level.

Once you leave the room, you can head down the hall into Flynn’s Arcade, an ode to the “TRON” films. The arcade looks like you are back in the 80s with all of the classic arcade games, including an original TRON game. The best part about this arcade comes to life once you enter the secret door. The TRON arcade game acts as a swinging door into a fully-themed TRON inspired room. The room is flooded with lasers and glows with a blue hue simulating the grid. There is a Lightcycle that you can hop into, a locker system, and bed pods that look like they are from the year 3000. The room also features karaoke!

After visiting all the different movie-inspired rooms, turn on your favorite movie and gather with your loved ones in the private home theater room. Grab your popcorn, settle down in one of the 10 comfortable theater seats, and relax as you watch a movie on the projector with Dolby ATMOS 9.1 surround sound. Below, you can take a look at the tumbler which has the recently popular spiked design on it. If you frequent Universal CityWalk, you have likely walked past the Red Coconut Club, one of the popular bar and eateries for guests. Ever since Halloween Horror Nights in 2022, we have started to see overlays occur at the Red Coconut Club, making the bar feel like an all-new experience that guests can enjoy. In 2022 we saw an all-new window set up at Universal Studios Florida by the Horror Make-Up Show, hinting at the first-ever overlay of the Dead Coconut Club. Then, one window in the New York section of the park had an Easter egg hinting at the layover of the Green & Red Coconut Club for the holiday season.

Now, a Mardi Gras theme layover is making an appearance in another window at Universal Orlando Resort. Madam Basiel’s window is located under Boris Shuster’s on the corner across from Film Vault and Transformers queue and inside that window, we can now see what looks to be the theme for the Cursed Coconut Club.

Now, we invite you to take a step into the first hints of the Cursed Coconut Club! This is the view from the window where we can see what looks to be a psychic at her table.

When we take a closer look, we can see lots of light-up neon and glow cubes will likely be used in the new overlay of the bar. The table also shows off the new “Cursed Coconut Club” coaster and what appears to be the back of the menu.

Here is a closer look at the Cursed Coconut Club logo which has lots of voo-doo-inspired themes, perfect for the Mardi Gras season. We can also see what appear to be new drink sticks and stirrers for upcoming cocktails!

While you are walking by, be sure to take a closer look into Madam Basiel’s window! As you can see in the photo below, if you are not paying attention, it may be an easy Easter egg to miss.

With so much Mardi Gras news coming from Universal Orlando Resort today, this window is just the cherry on top of our king cake! Universal’s Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval will begin on February 4th and will last until April 16th. Admission to the event is included in your theme park ticket, which means that offerings such as the parade, concert line-up, performers, and more are all included during your visit!

Speaking of the concert line-up, Universal has just released the 2023 Mardi Gras line-up! If you want to take the first peek, you can do so here! Universal Orlando Resort Mardi Gras Float Ride and Dine Experience tickets are also available, but there has been a big price increase. January 15 marked the end of KidZone at Universal Studios Florida, which is a section of the park that many Universal fans grew up enjoying. Perhaps you enjoying whipping by on Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster, getting a little wetter than you expected on the water slide in Fievel’s Playland, or shooting toy balls in the Curious George Goes to Town play area — no matter what your memories are made of, they are now just that, memories.

Yesterday we saw walls go up around most of KidZone as Universal prepped for construction. The walls extend from the entrance of E.T. Adventure to the front of the KidZone signage, which is wrapped in black plastic. Although demolition will likely begin shortly, the land’s replacement has yet to be confirmed. Today we noticed new decor on the construction wall.

There are now DreamWorks characters splattered all across the walls. Let’s take a look at the walls, where they are placed, and what DreamWorks films are being represented here.

Below, we can see the queue for E.T. Adventure is lined with construction walls blocking the view of the now shut-down land. They have been decorated with characters decals as the ride is still fully operational. We can see decals of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, The Boss Baby, Shrek, The Croods, and more.

Here we can see How to Train Your Dragon characters Toothless and Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III.

Shrek and Donkey high-five next to characters from Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie.

The front of E.T. Adventure carries out the construction walls, still allowing guests to easily access the attraction.

The walls also show off Jack Black’s Kung Fu Panda.

The sign also wraps around Animal Actors On Location!, which is still fully operational and can still be accessed from the bridge leading to Springfield. U.S.A. We can see the popular IP Trolls being represented here as well.

With the construction walls being quite extensive, it is nice that they have some theming on them.

In the past, we have seen Universal place sticker decals of characters that will be taking over shutdown attractions. Shrek 4-D is a prime example, with the Minions being placed all over the construction walls. Fast-forward from that, and we have the announcement of Villain-Con Minion Blast. With a new family-style theme park coming to Texas that will likely utilize DreamWorks IP, and the rumored How to Train Your Dragon section possibly finding a home at Epic Universe, it would not be too shocking to see Universal Orlando Resort pull in more DreamWorks.

We also recently saw DreamWorks Destination take over the Barney section of KidZone prior to the closure, showcasing Universal’s desire to place more DreamWorks IP in that section. Signage here showed off IP such as Kung Fu Panda, the Madagascar series, Trolls, and the Shrek series.

That being said, there has not been official confirmation as to what exactly will be taking over KidsZone at Universal Orlando Resort.
