A veteran of Nickelodeon and other TV networks, Zack Olin will oversee creative developments within Disney Branded Television’s animation group.
Zack Olin Named SVP of Development & Current Series at Disney Television Animation

In a report from Deadline, Disney shared news that Disney Television Animation has appointed Zack Olin as Senior Vice President of Development and Current Series, a new leadership role within the studio.
In this position, Olin will oversee the creative development and ongoing production of animated TV series, guiding storytelling strategy and helping shape the studio’s slate for kids and family audiences on Disney platforms like Disney+ and Disney Channel. He reports to Meredith Roberts, the studio’s EVP.
“I’ve always been drawn to animation because of its scale, its heart, and the way it stays with audiences over time … Getting to do that at Disney Television Animation and Disney Branded Television alongside Meredith, Ayo Davis, and some of the most extraordinary creators and animators in the industry is the kind of opportunity you work toward over a career.”
Olin brings extensive industry experience to the role, including senior development and production leadership at Nickelodeon and Awesomeness, where he worked across both series and films, and prior executive roles at ABC and ABC Studios.
His recent credits include Monster High: The Movie, XO, Kitty and School Spirits, among numerous projects spanning live action and animation.
Before Nickelodeon, Olin spent 13 years across ABC and ABC Studios, where he oversaw a slate that included grown-ish, Speechless and Happy Endings. He began his career at Fox, contributing to production on films like Titan A.E. and series including The Simpsons and American Dad.
Disney Television Animation, part of Disney Branded Television, continues to expand and prioritize its animated content offerings in a competitive streaming and broadcast climate. Olin’s hire reflects an ongoing focus on strengthening creative leadership to support current series and future development initiatives.
