After Hours events are the chance to experience the parks much differently than during the day. With limited crowds, free snacks, and shorter lines, you may fit an entire park day into just a handful of hours.
Gearing up to attend an After Hours event at Walt Disney World this year? This guide will walk you through everything you need to know.
Disney World After Hours
What is a Disney World After Hours Event?

An After Hours event at Disney World is exactly what it sounds like—a chance to explore a theme park after it has closed for the day. These three hour evens have limited capacity, so lines are shorter, select snacks are free, and you can sometimes encounter character meet and greets.
While the event technically starts after the park closes, usually around 9:30 p.m. or 10 p.m., ticket holders can get in early. You can start entering the park at 7 p.m., giving you a few more hours of park fun with the one ticket.
Treats Included

With your After Hours ticket, there are some treats included throughout the night:
- Ice cream novelties (think pre-packaged Mickey premium ice cream bar)
- Popcorn
- Bottled beverages (Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Dasani water)
Other Dining
For the most part, except for the After Hours snack kiosks, the other areas, such as quick service and table restaurants, will be closed. However, that isn’t true at Hollywood Studios or EPCOT, where a few places will also remain open
EPCOT
- Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe

Tips to Maximize the Event
- Get there early – The park opens for After Party guests at 7 p.m. If you arrive at the turnstiles earlier, perhaps 6:30 or 6:45 p.m., you can get in closer to 7 and maximize your time.
- Make a plan – have an idea of what attractions you want to visit during the event and map out your route. This way, you can avoid walking across the park over and over.
- Save shopping until the end – don’t lug your shopping around with you all night.
- Don’t forget to snack – the snacks are included, so you might as well enjoy them!
