Most of Former La Brea Bakery Demolished in Downtown Disney

Most of the former La Brea Bakery in Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort has been demolished.

La Brea Bakery Demolition

All that remains of what was once La Brea Bakery in Downtown Disney District are four concrete columns.

Partially hidden from view by scaffolding and beige scrim, there are four concrete columns that were once part of the building. You can see some of the columns still attached to walls in a previous post about demolition. Since our update a few days ago, wood has been stripped from one column.

The far right section of the building is still in place further behind the scaffolding and scrim. It’s expected to be completely demolished soon.

Porto's Bakery & Cafe concept art

La Brea Bakery closed permanently in 2023 but the building was used as a temporary Earl of Sandwich for over two years. The new Porto’s Bakery & Cafe was announced in 2022 to replace La Brea, but there were delays with the project.

In addition to the old La Brea Bakery, two ticket booths were demolished.
