Zootopia 2 To Top Domestic Box Office for Second Weekend, Continuing Record

Zootopia 2 continues to dominate the box office, topping the domestic charts for the second week in a row as it continues to break records worldwide.

Zootopia 2 Continues Box Office Dominance

While Zootopia 2 faces competition from another sequel this weekend — Blumhouse’s Five Nights at Freddy’s 2Deadline is forecasting that Zootopia 2 will top the domestic box office for the second weekend in a row, pulling in $50M and continuing to beat out yet other blockbuster sequel, Wicked: For Good.

Zootopia 2 Box Office Records

Zootopia 2 has been a juggernaut since its release on November 26. First, it became the second biggest Thanksgiving opening for a film ever. It also became the first Hollywood movie to ever pass the $100 million mark in a single day in China; the previous record holder was Avengers: Endgame.

Once its opening weekend numbers were tallied, Zootopia 2 was found to have had the biggest global opening for an animated film ever and was also the sixth-highest-grossing movie of the year worldwide.
