A vertical structure for the new Encanto-themed ride has risen into view behind construction walls in DinoLand U.S.A. The Disney’s Animal Kingdom land is being transformed into a new Tropical Americas area.
Tropical Americas Structure
Right now, the structure is only a tower of steel framing somewhere in front of the Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures buildings. This is the beginnings of the Encanto ride that will be part of the new land.
The frame was just being placed when we visited on December 4.
There is also some tall fencing visible around a nearby dirt pile. The dirt pile is visible in bioreconstruct’s aerial photos of the construction site we shared a few days ago. The fencing appears taller than it did in the aerial photos.

We also saw new yellow fencing at the back of the former Boneyard play area. This is temporary fencing for construction work.
DINOSAUR and Restaurantosaurus will close permanently in February 2026 — the last phase of the DinoLand closure. The new Tropical Americas land will include the Encanto ride, a carousel, and an Indiana Jones ride.
