Talking Walt Disney Figure Released at Magic Kingdom

The talking Walt Disney figure first released at Disneyland for the 70th anniversary celebration is now available at Walt Disney World. We found it in Box Office Gifts at Magic Kingdom, although stock was low. Other Art of Disney locations may also offer the statue.

Walt Disney Talking Figure – $169

It depicts Walt leaning against his desk, which is covered in knick-knacks, books, concept art, and a model plane. When you press the upper left-hand desk drawer, you’ll hear Walt’s voice delivering the Disneyland dedication speech:

To all who come to this happy place: welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America, with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.

The figure is inspired by Walt Disney – A Magical Life, the new Disneyland stage show featuring the first-ever Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic. Though the show is exclusive to Disneyland, Magic Kingdom’s Carousel of Progress will be updated to include a Walt animatronic.

The figure comes packed in a box to take home.

Celebrate the 70th anniversary of “the happiest place on Earth” with this replica figurine of the legend, Walt Disney. Seven decades after Disneyland’s grand opening in 1955, this item reminds us of Walt’s legacy, which continues to captivate, entertain, and inspire fans and families all over. This collectible depicts Walt sitting on his desk and plays an audio track of Walt’s voice. Bring the magic into your home with the man behind the magic himself!
