Disneyland Paris announced a replica figure of their Space Mountain launch cannon created by Kevin & Jody will soon be available for purchase.
Space Mountain Cannon Figure
Disneyland Paris shared a first look at the statue on their shopping Instagram. The steampunk Columbiad Cannon is where Space Mountain riders are first launched into the coaster. In the lore of the original De la Terre à la Lune (From the Earth to the Moon) version of the attraction, the cannon was created by the Baltimore Gun Club to send moontrains to the moon. In the current Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain version, the cannon is a hyperspace launch.
The detailed figure includes the Baltimore Gun Club logo and an archer on the cannon’s supports, smiling suns and moons, and an ornate red and gold base.
It will be available for purchase at Deco By Disney in Disney Village and Harrington’s Fine China & Porcelains on Main Street, U.S.A. beginning December 12.
