The Simpsons X account announced that the second theatrical Simpsons movie release date has been pushed from Summer 2027 to Labor Day weekend.

An all-new movie from The Simpsons, now coming to theaters Labor D’OH Weekend, 2027!
The as-yet-untitled Simpsons sequel film’s original release date was July 23, 2027, which had previously been reserved for an unannounced Marvel project.

The original The Simpsons Movie was released in July 2007 and had a worldwide box office of $536.4 million. 20th Century Fox announced a sequel was in the works in 2018, before Disney acquired the company. The new movie will ultimately be released 20 years after the first.
The Simpsons on Disney+

“The Simpsons” has been available on Disney+ since the service launched. Along with the series, additional content available includes The Simpsons Movie and over 10 original shorts.
On November 19, Disney+ launched a chronological stream playing all 35 seasons of “The Simpsons” nonstop in chronological order. You can find the Simpsons channel under the “Streams” section of the service.
