Construction is done on the porte cochere at the main entrance of Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Work began in June and was originally scheduled through September.
Beach Club Porte Cochere refurbishment
The porte cochere has retained its same design — white with simple latticework on the front and sides. It has a dark roof with a tower in the center and a yellow flag at the top of a pole.
The pavement is also the same gray wave-like design, although that may have been replaced.
The only obvious difference is that the porte cochere has brand-new lights. There are small spotlights lining the structure, as well as three hanging lanterns in the center.
The lanterns are black with several candle-shaped electric lights inside. These replace larger circular chandeliers with multiple lanterns. You can see the old lights in the image below from a Disney Parks video.

Though the porte cochere is back open, exterior refurbishment continues at Beach Club and Yacht Club. Construction was originally scheduled until the end of 2026 but ultimately extended through 2027.
The Stormalong Bay pool area went through an extensive refurbishment this summer. The Yacht Club lobby was renovated in 2021 and the Beach Club lobby in 2023. Yacht Club guest rooms were refurbished early this year. Bathrooms near the Martha’s Vineyard lounge are closed until the spring.
