Percy Jackson and the Olympians Billboard Splashes Real Water

An impressive new billboard for Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 sends a real tidal wave of water cascading to the ground.

Attractions 360° on X shared two videos of the epic billboard, which you can watch below. The digital board plays clips from the Disney+ show, with water and fog effects timed to different moments. For example, a tentacle seems to slam into the billboard, cracking “glass” and releasing a wave of water. There’s a pool under the billboard to catch the water and recycle it for further effects.

The billboard is on Hollywood and Vine near the Hollywood Pantages Theatre. It will be there until Wednesday, December 10, the day Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 premieres on Disney+ and Hulu.

The water effects are appropriate because season 2 is based on The Sea of Monsters, the second Percy Jackson book in the series by Rick Riordan. In the book and season, Percy and his friends travel to the Bermuda Triangle to save Grover and recover the Golden Fleece.
