New Bench Seating Installed Between Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

New walls with built-in benches have been constructed between Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, aerial photos by @bioreconstruct reveal.

New Wall Benches at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The construction zone is next to Alien Swirling Saucers, across from the new Toy Story Land snack kiosk, which is still behind rolling planters. Construction walls went up at this corner of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in July, after the area was used for temporary seating during Woody’s Lunch Box construction. We can now see new short concrete walls lining the edge of the Batuu forest.

There were previously only faux rocks unsuitable for sitting separating the landscaping and the sidewalks. These new walls have built-in benches, like many planters throughout Walt Disney World. An additional concrete bench is at the edge of a planter that still has some of the rocky trim.

Some foliage and trees were cleared from the space to accommodate construction but it’s mostly the same shape. The new bench walls line a courtyard-like area off the main sidewalk.

One curved bench almost reaches a faux rock wall that continues into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Behind the construction walls are both Star Wars and Toy Story themed lampposts. They are similarly-shaped but have different color schemes.

For reference, below is what the area looked like in February when the temporary tables and chairs were removed.

A big complaint about Toy Story Land has been the lack of seating and shade. Over the past few years, Disney added shades to the Woody’s Lunch Box seating area.
