After construction on the new Encanto ride went vertical a week ago, crews have added more steel framing to the structure. The Encanto ride will be part of a Tropical Americas land replacing DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Tropical Americas Construction
Last week only one tower of framing was in place. Now there is a wall of vertical and horizontal steel beams. The structure is taking place on the former Dino-Rama site, near the Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures buildings, which will be re-themed for the new land.
One element of the framework juts out from the rest. A construction vehicle is visible under the overhang. Two supports on the structure also stand taller than the rest.
This building in the same construction zone is temporary for workers. It’s behind a large dirt pile near the construction walls.

There’s also ongoing construction on the former site of The Boneyard. This area will become Pueblo Esperanza, a fictional village with a carousel and new play area. As we previously noted, there is temporary fencing up at the back of the space.
Behind these walls near the land’s former main entrance, we saw a large round concrete element. An excavator was busy moving dirt.
Behind some scrim is a swath of dirt with some concrete walls in the ground for utilities.
DINOSAUR and Restaurantosaurus will close permanently in February 2026 as the last phase of the DinoLand closure. DINOSAUR will become a new Indiana Jones ride.
