Miss Piggy can’t stay out of the news these days. She and fellow Muppet Rowlf the Dog performed during The Game Awards ceremony on Thursday night.
Miss Piggy and Rowlf at Game Awards
Miss Piggy first joined host Geoff Keighley to tease her performance later in the night — and flirt with Geoff, reference a “night in Bora Bora.” She popped up a little while later to tell Geoff that Rowlf the Dog, her accompanist, hadn’t showed up yet. As she descended into tears, Geoff sent her offstage.
Geoff introduced Piggy and Rowlf for their performance later. Though the pair didn’t have a chance to rehearse, Rowlf convinced Piggy to improvise a song. They sang about The Game Awards, with Rowlf interjecting some of his disappointed opinions and listing dozens of games. Watch their song in the X post embedded below.
We learned last month that a Miss Piggy movie is in development with Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone, and Cole Escola. Piggy was later “arrested” at the final concert of Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Tour.
Announcements during the Game Awards including a new Star Wars racing game. “The Game Awards recognizes and upholds creative and technical excellence in the global video game industry.”
