Another round of posters has been glued to the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit construction walls of Universal Studios Florida. The roller coaster closed permanently this summer and something new is in the works for the area. Posters added to the walls last week reference Blues Brothers and Back to the Future.
New Posters on Construction Walls

These walls are at the end of the street in the New York area of Universal Studios Florida, in front of the former Ghostbusters firehouse façade. The walls went up in June with a Ghostbusters reference but soon gained Fast & Furious and Back to the Future elements.
Now King Kong posters adorn the green walls. These advertise the “Eighth Wonder of the World – A Vicious Mindless Beast Captured and Alive!” The location is the New York Museum of Antiquities, an in-park location not far from these walls.
There are also additional Mr. Tape flyers on the walls. Green flyers featuring the 2024 Summer Tribute Store mascot went up last week. The new flyers are the same design but a brown-ish color.
Some of them are covering flyers that otherwise aren’t visible. The upper corner of one reads “Sport Fishing.” The cut-off words and sentences on the other include “–ily –ark –nts”, “Bay”, “–pper H.”, “people”, and “–akes –tals.” Our best guess is these are related to Jaws.
We don’t know if any of these posters, flyers, and signs are hints at the theme of the ride replacing Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, but right now they’re all we have. What do you hope the new ride’s theme will be?
