Disney announced the closing date for Frozen Ever After at EPCOT, which will go through a brief refurbishment period to replace Audio-Animatronics figures of Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff.

Frozen Ever After will be closed beginning on January 26, 2026. It will reopen with new figures featuring physical faces sometime in February.

Frozen Ever After replaced Maelstrom in the Norway pavilion in 2016. Its projection or “screen-face” figures were groundbreaking at the time. It was the first Disney attraction ever to have all-electric Audio-Animatronics and the first to combine electric motors and 3D printing. Since then, these techniques have become standard implementations.

In 2023, a new version of Frozen Ever After opened with World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland. Among various technical updates were impressive Audio-Animatronics figures of Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff with articulated, physical faces. Disney is now bringing this technology to EPCOT.
