Snack Kiosk Construction

The new structure has small latticework and filigree elements along the edge of its roof. This section appears to be an overhang attached to the side of the actual stand.

Through the scrim we could see more of a building sitting on a concrete foundation. This is a rectangular structure with openings for windows and doors. Roofing has yet to be installed over the structure.

Construction began in this area in October. The walls are behind the Face Paint kiosk and run through the Central Park archway.

Expo Eats

Guests queue at the “Eats” snack stand in Universal Studios, with trees and parkgoers nearby—distinct from Disney’s castle areas.

Expo Eats had mid-century sci-fi theming to match the World Expo area of Universal Studios Florida, but it hasn’t been part of that land for nearly 10 years. When The Simpsons replaced Back to the Future in 2008, much of World Expo was re-themed into Springfield.

Though the area was technically still classified as World Expo until 2016, now only Men in Black: Alien Attack is part of the land.
