Disney’s Elio and Zootopia 2 have been nominated against KPop Demon Hunters for a Golden Globe award for the best animated motion picture.

Both Elio and Zootopia 2 have been nominated for the award, along with KPop Demon Hunters, Arco, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle, and Little Amélie or The Character of Rain.
Elio has also been nominated for the Critics Choice Awards Best Animated Feature. Despite Disney and Pixar’s marketing attempts, including in-park advertisements and decor around Disney World, the film suffered the worst opening weekend ever for a Disney Pixar film.
Zootopia 2, on the other hand, received the biggest global opening for an animated film ever. Disney Parks around the world have leaned into the sequel, offering a limited-time macaron, a limited-time sipper, a ride overlay, and a new puppet show at Shanghai Disneyland, and limited-time meet and greets. Plus, the new show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Zootopia: Better Zoogether debuted last month.
KPop Demon Hunters has become Netflix’s most watched film ever, and it has become the first soundtrack with four simultaneous Top 10 songs on the Billboard Hot 100.
Elio follows Elio, an 11-year-old boy who is accidentally beamed up to the Communiverse. Communiverse includes representatives from all over the universe, and the aliens think Elio is the official ambassador for humans. He must now represent the human race even though he felt like he didn’t belong.
Zootopia 2 brings Juddy Hopps and Nick Wilde back together again, this time to solve a case involving a mysterious reptile named Gary De’Snake who steals a journal from a powerful lynx family.
KPop Demon Hunters follows Huntrix, a popular K-pop girl group, who secretly use their music and fame to fight demons threatening the human world.
