Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Closing Select Dates This Week Due to Cold Weather

As cold weather hits Central Florida, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park will be closed on December 11 and 12.

The Typhoon Lagoon webpage does not list hours for the park on December 11 and 12. It is still scheduled to open December 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Typhoon Lagoon is one of Disney World’s water parks, the other being Blizzard Beach (temporarily closed).

The water park previously closed for cold weather last month.

Guests arriving in 2025 can enjoy water park admission on check-in day—included with their stay—and will want to keep these closures in mind. This perk has been extended into 2026 as well, but only in the summer.

The National Weather Service states December 11’s temperatures include a high of 64-72F and low of 40-55F. December 12 is a bit warmer (69-75F and 44-62F) but not warm up enough to open the water park.

More water park closures are likely to continue throughout the winter season.
