Read Lucasfilm’s official description of the series:

A story about revolution, Andor focuses on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make in the galaxy. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how diverse peoples and worlds became involved. It is an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian embarks on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.

Andor was created by Tony Gilroy, who also wrote multiple episodes along with co-screenwriters Dan Gilroy, Stephen Schiff, and Beau Willimon. Gilroy is also an executive producer along with Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna, and Michelle Rejwan.

Recently, creator Tony Gilroy talked about a potential spin-off of the series, after having previously spoken about having to fight for the budget of Season 2.
