A recent Imagineering permit slates work for the area currently used as the courtyard in front of DINOSAUR at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The attraction is set to close in early 2026 to become an Indiana Jones attraction.
DinoLand Construction Permit

A new permit was filed on Friday that lists “600 DinoLand Drive” as the address. for potential work. This area is likely the courtyard of DINOSAUR as the nearby 594 Dinoland Drive, is the approximate address for the DinoLand Goofy and Pluto meet and greet area, according to the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District’s (CFTOD) Address Finder.

The permit contracts Whiting-Turner for “General Construction” and has a one-year expiration date. The permit is likely for prep work as the area is developed into the front of a brand new Indiana Jones ride. This construction management company has worked with Disney several times in recent history, including on construction of Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, demolition of It’s Tough to Be a Bug at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and early facility demolition for DinoLand U.S.A.
DINOSAUR and Restaurantosaurus will close permanently in February 2026 — the last phase of the DinoLand closure. The new Tropical Americas land will include the Encanto ride, a carousel, and an Indiana Jones ride.
