When booking a Sandcastle Cabana online under My Cruise Activities, guests will see the cabanas listed as follows:

  • Castaway Cay – Sandcastle Cabana (cabana number) – Family

With this change, ‘Sandcastle Cabanas’ and ‘Mickey and Minnie Cove Cabanas’ can now be viewed on the new map of Disney Castaway Cay. It is #22 on the map below.

The cabanas are incredibly popular, and reservations book up quickly (according to Castaway Club status). They are an additional add-on that range in pricing from around $500 to $1300 per day depending on type of cabin. Each cabana includes six guests, but you can add up to 10 additional guests for an extra fee per person.

Outside of the chairs, tables, and overall comfort of a cabana, there are also several other amenities included in your rental:

  • Snorkels
  • Floats
  • Bike rentals so you can ride around the island
  • Sodas, bottled water, snacks, chips
  • A Cabana host to help restock the refreshments if you need more. The host will not bring food, however.
  • Sunscreen
  • Sand toys
  • A hammock right outside the cabana

Castaway Cay is Disney’s first private island is located in the Bahamas, and it is a destination on most Disney Cruise Line sailings that leave from Florida. There’s more on the island than you might realize before you get there, so we’ve collected everything there is to know before you go to Castaway Cay. Be sure to read our full guide.

Disney Cruise Line purchased Gorda Cay from the Bahamian government in 1997. They have a 99-year lease (good through 2096). Even after purchasing it for use as the cruise line’s private island, Disney used the island to film some of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
