Crews continue to remove themed elements from the former MuppetVision 3D theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
MuppetVision 3D Construction
Some of the arched brick designs that were above the facade’s fake windows, as well as the windowsills, have been removed. The window shutters were removed last week.
A wooden beam that previously stuck out of the side of the theater’s tower has also been removed. This leaves some messy marks and holes in the theater’s facade, all of which will presumably be cleaned up or covered as it is transformed for the Monsters, Inc. land.
Below is what the façade looked like before MuppetVision 3D closed.

Muppets Courtyard is becoming Monstropolis from Monsters, Inc. featuring a brand-new door roller-coaster. Most buildings will be remodeled and reused, but Stage 1 Company Store was demolished and the coaster is getting a new show building.
According to concept art, the MuppetVision 3D theater will become “The Glob” but Disney hasn’t announced more details.
