A few weeks ago, Universal extended the walls to run right up to the nearby buildings, no longer allowing guests to reach the firehouse facade. The coaster previously ran through the facade. Before Rip Ride Rockit, the firehouse was the entrance to the Ghostbusters Spooktacular show.

Nearby is a sign for the “Restoration of the Historic Engine 89 Firehouse,” which has been on the walls since they went up in June. This led some fans to wonder if the experience replacing Rip Ride Rockit would be inspired by Ghostbusters. Soon after, Universal added references to Fast & Furious and Back to the Future.

The new posters also reference Back to the Future, as well as Blues Brothers.

A “Battle of the Bands” audition poster is stapled on other flyers. This is straight out of Back to the Future, when Marty McFly and his band (The Pinheads) auditioned for the battle of the bands.

The Blues Brothers poster advertises Jake and Elwood Blues performing on “Delancy” St across from Finnegan’s. The pair really do perform near Finnegan’s Bar & Grill in Universal Studios Florida, although the street name is actually Delancey. The poster also misspells saxophone as “saxaphone.”

Some versions of the Blues Brothers ad have Santa hats drawn on the brothers, reflecting the holiday version of their show when they do don Santa hats.

Another flyer for VCR technicians is secured with duct tape. This features Mr. Tape, a mascot from the 2024 Summer Tribute Store. Mr. Tape also appears in the 2025 Christmas Tribute Store.

Perhaps the most interesting set of posters advertises Club Moon and a “New Location Opening Soon.” Here’s the full text:

We don’t know if this poster is a true hint at Rip Ride Rockit’s replacement or not. Universal has only officially referred to a “new experience” or “attraction” coming to the park, but construction suggests it will be a roller-coaster. Sources indicate it is a coaster by Intamin. One permit called for construction of a two-story building.
