Disney Parks shared a behind-the-scenes look at Living with the Land – Glimmering Greenhouses, an annual holiday overlay of the EPCOT attraction.
Living with the Land – Glimmering Greenhouses: Behind the Scenes
The social media video follows Cast Member Shannon of the Disney Agricultural Science team on “light plug in day,” when they turn on all the lights in the greenhouses. Installing the lights takes about four weeks, followed by a week of installing decorations.
However, the team starts thinking about what crops they want for the holidays in August because that’s when they need to seed.
Shannon said the fun part about working at The Land pavilion is using both plant skills and art skills. She usually rides Living With the Land – Glimmering Greenhouses and films it once, saying, “It’s always fun to hear the guests behind me say, ‘Oh wow!’ And I’m like, yes, hype me up!”
