Avatar: Fire and Ash Drone Show Coming to Disneyland Paris

The President of the French division of The Walt Disney Company has confirmed that a version of the Avatar: Fire and Ash drone show performed above central Paris will be presented at Disneyland Paris for a limited time only.

Last Friday, the European premier of Avatar: Fire and Ash took place at the concert venue La Seine Musicale in Paris. During this premiere, 3,700 drones took flight above the Paris skyline synchronized to original music created by Simon Franglen, while the drones took various shapes from Pandora’s fauna and flora.

Hélène Etzi, President of the French division of The Walt Disney Company, has now confirmed in a LinkedIn post that this display will come to Disneyland Paris for a limited time from December 13 to 17, the last day coinciding with the wide release of Avatar: Fire and Ash across Europe.

It should be noted that when strong winds arise or heavy rain, the drones in the nighttime spectacular Disney Tales of Magic are usually cancelled. It is further unclear where on the property this drone show will take place, although considering drones are also used in Disney Tales of Magic, it might take place before the regular nighttime spectacular.

This show was part of the premier tour for Avatar: Fire and Ash, although the drones appear to have been exclusive to Paris for now. An Avatar land has long since been speculated for a future expansion at Walt Disney Studios Park (soon-to-be-called Disney Adventure World).

Of course, Disneyland Paris has been known for its usage of drones during their nighttime spectaculars, even pioneering new air & sea drones for the upcoming Cascade of Lights show.
