Another fire recently broke out in EPCOT. This marks the second fire in the France Pavilion during 2025.

In a TikTok posted by user @disneycass84, a fire on the top of a display crate recently broke out in EPCOT’s France Pavilion just behind Les Vins des Chefs de France, the kiosk location which serves French wines, Champagne and specialty beverages. Commenters claim the fire was started with a discarded cigarette, although that is not confirmed. Smoking is banned inside the Walt Disney World theme parks.

Cast Members quickly came to the scene. Two arrived by boat while Culinary Cast Members put out the flames with a fire extinguisher.

Other Fires in EPCOT

Thick black smoke rises above trees and buildings under a clear sky, reminiscent of the dramatic scenes often found in EPCOT's World Showcase. The foreground, with branches and rooftops, adds a sense of urgency to the mysterious fire casting shadows on an otherwise serene day.

This is not the first or even second fire to break out in EPCOT this year.

In March, a fire broke out behind the France pavilion, with large plumes of smoke rising above. According to representatives from Disney, the fire was in a walk-in cooler behind the building and was extinguished fairly quickly. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not stated.

In May, a popcorn cart located in World Celebration in EPCOT caught fire, with Cast Members quickly putting out the flames.
