The trees inside Animation Courtyard are looking a lot more bare as they have been trimmed down to just the branches.
Animation Courtyard Trees

With the exception of The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure, Animation Courtyard has been closed since September to make way for new attractions. The arch was demolished back in October, and the show buildings received a new coat of paint in early November.

Recent construction work taking place between the show buildings indicates that land is being cleared where the entrance previously was. And now, the trees are being trimmed.

Pictured above is a “before” photo from earlier this week taken by our WDWNT reporter.

The trees have been trimmed to just the very base of the branches, removing all the leaves and ends of the branches.
The reimagined Animation Courtyard will become Walt Disney Studios with a new version of The Magic of Disney Animation “where kids and kids at heart can laugh, draw, dream, and explore animated new experiences.”
There will be interactive elements, character meet and greets as part of “Off The Page!”, and a Mary Blair-inspired Alice in Wonderland playground. In addition, the show “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!” will replace “Disney Junior Dance Party” and “Disney Jr. Play and Dance”.
