Aerial photos posted by @bioreconstruct on X reveal the beginning stages of work on one of the expansion pads in Epic Universe.
Epic Universe Expansion

Karen Irwin, President and COO of Universal Orlando Resort, said earlier this year, “We’re already planning for the next thing at Epic.” That plan now appears to be in action with prep work underway on a plot of land located between Other Worlds Mercantile and Super Nintendo World. The empty space is directly across from Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets.

As of now, only basic dirt work and leveling is occurring in the plot of land, but this does mark the first prep work for expansion at Epic Universe. Due to its location, the expansion could be connected to part of Super Nintendo World or Celestial Park.

Recently, a permit was filed that teased a large expansion along with ”site utilities and foundation work.” The permit listed a 150,000 square feet location at 1001 Epic Blvd, Orlando, Florida 32819, the address of Epic Universe. The permit also lists “new construction” and May 7, 2026, as the end date. This date would be less than a year after the park opened.
We previously speculated that this could be related to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic; however, it now appears that the permit could have been referring to this section of empty land in the park.
Currently, Epic Universe has eleven rides and two shows across five portals.
