ACE Avatar Making Experience Permanently Closed, Replaced with Merchandise in Animal Kingdom

After reporting in October that the ACE Avatar Making Experience was permanently closed inside Windtraders, the location has now been completely remodeled to house additional merchandise.

After the experience closed, black curtains and baskets blocked where the machine to make the selections used to be. While the baskets remain, there is now a green curtain that reflects shadows and colors from around the shop.

In the space where the actual kiosk was located, a merchandise shelf has been added to the area near the registers. Additional merchandise also lines the wall.

In October, curtains and stanchions surrounded the area to keep guests from entering the area, leading us to believe that the experience was permanently closed.

The personalized Avatar figure included guests being scanned and then choosing custom elements for their Avatar that match. Body type, hair style, and eye color were some of the ways guest could create an Avatar that looked just like them.

The experience was not popular, and earlier this summer, these were discounted from $79.99 to $50. Nothing new has been announced for this space, and we are unsure if a new experience will become available.
