Shanghai Disney Resort shared videos of some of the brand new Zootopia 2-inspired offerings debuting in their Zootopia land this week. As previously announced, guests can experience a limited-time update to Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, the addition of Gary De’Snake to Zootopia Comes Alive, Nick and Judy in new costumes, a projection show, and more.

Zootopia: Hot Pursuit Overlay
The Zootopia ride will temporarily feature “Zoo,” the new Gazelle song performed by Shakira in Zootopia 2. During Gazelle’s concert in the ride’s finale, she will now perform “Zoo” instead of “Try Everything.” This overlay will last from November 19, 2025 through January 27, 2026.
Imagineers also refreshed the finale’s lighting and synchronized effects.

Gary De’Snake Joins Zootopia Comes Alive
New character Gary De’Snake joins the land’s puppet show with refreshed scenes. He will help babysit the Hopps family’s baby bunnies (as seen in the video above), talk with Fru Fru about reptile-inspired fashion, and always carry popcorn.
Zootopia Comes Alive takes place periodically in the windows of the Zootopia facades, with various characters from the films interacting with each other.
Nick and Judy Outfits
Shanghai Disney shared a first look at Nick and Judy’s Zootennial Gala costumes. They will don these looks to welcome guests at the Main Entrance Portal from November 19 through January 27. Nick and Judy aren’t wearing these outfits at any other Disney Park.
Nick and Judy will also wear their more casual Zootopia 2 outfits during Mickey’s Storybook Express parade through January 27.
Zootopia Projection Show
At night, a Zootopia projection show transforms the Enchanted Storybook Castle before ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration. The pre-show includes clips from Zootopia and Zootopia 2, set to Gazelle’s “Try Everything” and “Zoo.” This will run from November 18 to January 27.
More Zootopia 2 at Shanghai Disneyland
New props and signage related to the sequel have been added throughout Shanghai Disneyland. At Judy’s desk are her undercover sunglasses, case files, and a guide to wetland creatures.
Nick’s cubicle features key evidence, a new picture of him and Judy, and his Zootopia 2 shirt.
References to new characters include a portrait of Mayor Brian Winddancer in the Zootopia Police Department and a magazine featuring the stallion. The ZPD also features new officer portraits.
A sign for quokka therapy animal Dr. Fuzzby’s counseling is visible outside.
Fashions by Fru Fru has a new portrait of Fru Fru and her daughter. References to her daughter’s love of pink include her dresses and Mr. Big’s rose pink suit.
Throughout Zootopia are new references to Marsh Market, a “mysterious” Zootopia district that will be revealed in Zootopia 2. The Easter eggs include signs, maps, and ZPD posters.
In honor of the addition of reptiles, the Zootopia marquee has a new scale texture.
Shanghai Disneyland will also have Zootopia 2-inspired menu items, merchandise, and park tickets.
Zootopia 2 is in theaters on November 26, 2025.
