Disney networks were removed from YouTube TV just before midnight on Thursday, October 30. They remain unavailable to YouTube TV subscribers as Disney and Google try to reach a deal.

Disney is losing an estimated $5 million per day of the blackout. Results of a new survey indicate YouTube TV is losing a significant number of subscribers. 24% of respondents said they have already canceled or intend to cancel their YouTube TV subscriptions because the service “no longer delivers the core content they signed up for.”

YouTube TV has an estimated 10 million subscribers.

The online survey was conducted by Drive Research with 1,107 consumers. They found 30% of YouTube TV subscribers said they have subscribed or plan to subscribe directly to ESPN Unlimited or Hulu + Live TV. 22% plan to use someone else’s login and 15% have used or are considering using illegal streams.

56% said they signed up for YouTube TV primarily to watch live sports. They’ve missed Saturday’s college football and Monday Night Football on ESPN.

A whopping 82% said they will “likely” cancel their YouTube TV subscription if the dispute is not resolved soon.

58% of the respondents think Disney and Google are equally at fault for the blackout. 37% blame Disney and 5% blame Google.

YouTube TV said that if Disney content “remains off YouTube TV for an extended period of time,” they would give subscribers a $20 credit. Some have already received a $10 credit.

But 44% of survey respondents said a $20 credit was not enough to prevent them from canceling.
