The Wondrous Journeys fireworks show at Disneyland resumed performances last night for a brief run before the holidays, but it was missing some crucial elements.

Wondrous Journeys with No Castle Projections

This was the first performance of Wondrous Journeys since August, when it was replaced with Halloween Screams. However, there were no castle projections for the duration of the entire show.

Additionally, neither Baymax nor the Blue Fairy appeared during their “flyover” sequences. Our reporter confirmed that this is a separate issue from the projections and they will not be appearing during this run of the show.

Wondrous Journeys will only have a brief two-week run in the first half of November before Holidays at the Disneyland Resort starts on November 14 and the nightly fireworks/projection show changes to Believe in Holiday Magic. We do not know if the missing projections were simply a one-night glitch or if this will be how the show is performed during this run.

Wondrous Journeys

Wondrous Journeys returned to Disneyland this May when the resort’s 70th anniversary celebration kicked off. It is performed most evenings at 9:30pm with fireworks on select nights. Check out our video of the normal performance with both fireworks and projections:
