Visit the Newly Refurbished Sports Bar at Disneyland Paris

After several months of refurbishment, the Sports Bar at Disney Village in Disneyland Paris reopened on November 22.

Sports Bar at Disney Village

Disneyland Paris announced the refurbishment of the Sports Bar at Disney Village and shared concept art in 2024 for the contemporary take on the Coca-Cola sponsored space. Along with a contemporary interior and refreshed patio, Sports Bar also absorbed the space formerly occupied by New York Style Sandwiches to add an additional seating area.

Disney shared its first look at the reimagined space a week prior to its reopening. Let’s see how it looks in real life.

Exterior

Over the patio is a mural of Goofy rendered like animation sketches, showing him kicking around a soccer ball/football in the style of the How to Play Football short. (The red Coca-Cola entrance archway is temporary and only for the reopening.)

A menu board stands outside the terrace, while diagonal tilework in shades of brown marks the patio, contrasting with the brick building exterior. A fresco of Baymax in tennis gear from Big Hero 6: The Series is to the right.

The new terrace space has a glass roof to allow plenty of natural light, with additional lights housed in a large rectangular wood frame.

Along with the Coca-Cola wordmark painted on the brick over the door leading inside, the outdoor chairs are Coca-Cola red.

Main Dining Room

The main counter of the Sports Bar has been repositioned to allow for more seating. New Billiard ball-inspired spherical lighting fixtures in shades of orange, red, green, and blue hang over the counter, and guests can take a seat in green counter-height chairs.

The bartenders wear an old-fashioned outfit of a denim newsboy cap, orange button-down shirt with denim collar, and brown suspenders.

Fifteen antique sports balls are mounted on a section of brick behind the bar, including soccer balls, American footballs, basketballs, volleyballs, and rugby balls.

Continuing the billiards theme, wooden triangular lighting fixtures resembling racks are suspended over the seating area behind the counter. These long tables have counter-height seating on only one side to view the televisions mounted over the counter.

Sports and Coca-Cola memorabilia are framed on the walls above the booths.

Back Dining Room

The new back dining room is the space that used to be New York Style Sandwiches, accessible through a sliding door off the main room.

It now has booths and round tables with armchairs for additional seating, with the same triangular light fixtures.

The back room has the same design scheme as the main dining room, with television sets and its own collection of framed memorabilia.

Terrace

The brick terrace is lined with plant boxes and lit with natural light from the glass roof. Like the billiard-inspired lights inside, the wooden lighting structure over the terrace takes the shape of a pool table.

The terrace has both padded booths and counter-height tables. There are also adjacent restrooms.
