PHOTOS, VIDEO: Living with the Land – Glimmering Greenhouses Returns to EPCOT for 2025 Holiday Season

The Living with the Land – Glimmering Greenhouses holiday overlay has returned to EPCOT ahead of the park’s official 2025 holiday events.

Living with the Land – Glimmering Greenhouses

Part of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, Glimmering Greenhouses brings holiday decorations and sparkling lights to the greenhouses of Living with the Land, a slow-moving boat ride about the past, present, and future of agriculture. We saw the first signs of the seasonal overlay appearing last week, and it’s now complete.

The first part of the ride is unchanged as guests travel through the various biomes and farm scenes. As you approach the greenhouse tunnel, you see the Sustainable Agriculture Production & Research Center sign has been updated with new “glimmering” icons and labels corresponding to festive themes: Citrus, Spice, Sweets, and Feasts.

Holiday lights in pastel hues are strung in the entrance tunnel and frame the greenhouse entrance.

Pebble lights in a spectrum of colors light up the ground in the first greenhouse. The trees are carefully wrapped in warm white lights. A family of sandpeople (not to be confused with the Tuskens of “Star Wars”) are under the breadfruit tree, which also has hanging star lights.

Giant ornaments and large sculptures of the Land pavilion logo are placed between plants.

A set of tables inside a lit circle display are filled with holiday treats and decorations including chocolates, gingerbread cookies, a yule log cake, and more.

Floating candles and icicle lights make the waterfall pond shimmer.

Inside the aquacell, the lighting makes it appear to festively glow red and green. String lights adorn the aquariums. Large fruit wreaths flank the tunnel exit.

Piles of presents wrapped in fish-print paper and a glowing hidden Mickey are also tucked between the tanks.

The aquaculture area leads to another bright, festive greenhouse decked in lights.

The Mickey icon topiary has antlers and an ornament nose , transforming it into a reindeer.

The support beams are wrapped in green lights, while a festive display of seasonal fruits sits under a pergola hung with stockings. There’s also a small Christmas tree hung with pomander and pomegranate ornaments and a pile of presents with fruit-themed wrapping paper.

Strands of lights are also “planted” in the ground among the wheat, rice, and daylilies.

More blue- and green-lit support beams frame the next area of the greenhouses.

Another large Land symbol sits beneath the tomato “tree,” surrounded by presents including a The Land-branded box.

Another pile of presents, stacked in the rough shape of a tree and topped with a bow and covered in lights, sits beneath the tomato “tree.” The Land box is filled with fruit.

This display features an array of canning equipment and tables and shelves laden with mason jars of jams, jellies, and preserves.

The Sweets area is dominated by candy-colored lights in shades of pink, blue, and green, including large spherical lights on the ground and suspended like bubbles.

This area contains a display of holiday baking essentials, including a variety of spices.

The integrated aquaculture tanks are strung with green and blue lights and accented with animated jumping fish lights.

The Biotechnology Lab is decked out (and in) with a “tree” made of beakers and lab glass, a pile of gifts near the sign, and stockings and ornaments hung in the windows.

The last themed display is a science-themed cozy corner for Santa with a green armchair and fuzzy throw next to a side table with a drink. Presents and another beaker tree surround the chair.

You pass through one final festively-lit tunnel before entering the final, unchanged scene of the attraction.
