Shanghai Disneyland is introducing new offerings and experiences inspired by Zootopia 2 to the Zootopia land.
Zootopia 2 Coming to Zootopia Land
Zootopia 2 offerings will debut at Shanghai Disneyland on November 18. Also on that date, Shanghai Disneyland will host the Global Celebration of Zootopia 2, welcoming creators, guests, and fans around the world for a “dynamic and energetic” experience. On November 18, there will be operational adjustments for the Zootopia land, including Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, due to the celebration.
“Since opening in December 2023, Zootopia has welcomed millions of guests from home and abroad, becoming one of the resort’s most beloved experiences and earning global theme park industry recognition. In celebration of Zootopia 2, our talented cast members and Imagineers have teamed up with Walt Disney Animation Studios artists to extend the new story into creative, tangible, and immersive experiences in our Zootopia-themed land,” said Andrew Bolstein, President and General Manager of Shanghai Disney Resort.
Gazelle’s New Song Zoo
The new original Gazelle song in Zootopia 2 is Zoo, following up on the success of Try Everything. Gazelle (voiced by Shakira) will now perform Zoo in Zootopia: Hot Pursuit from November 19 through January 27. The finale scene will also be refreshed with upgraded lighting, music, and synchronized effects.
Nick and Judy Get New Outfits
Nick and Judy will debut their Zootopia 2 outfits during the daily Mickey’s Storybook Express parade on November 18. These looks will continue through January 27, 2026.
At the Main Entrance Portal, the pair will greet guests in their classy Zootennial Gala outfits. This will be available from November 19 through January 27.
Additional props related to the Zootopia 2 story will be added to the land, including case files on Judy’s desk, her undercover sunglasses, and key evidence in Nick’s cubicle.
A giant Judy Hopps floral will welcome guests and the winter seasonal celebration will feature ice sculptures of new characters Gary, Nibbles, and Dr. Fuzzby. These join sculptures of Judy, Nick, Gazelle, and Flash.
Zootopia Projection Show
In the evenings, the Enchanted Storybook Castle will come to life with a special Zootopia-themed projection show before ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration. This will run from November 18 through January 27. It will feature both of Gazelle’s songs, Try Everything and Zoo.
Marsh Market & Gary De’Snake
Zootopia 2 introduces the Zootopia district of Marsh Market. Shanghai Disneyland will expand the land’s story to include Marsh Market, hinted at with clues woven into the city such as updated signposts, posters, billboards, and revised city maps on Mane Street.
Shanghai Disneyland first introduced Gary De’Snake as part of their Year of the Snake celebrations. The new character will now “leave many more hints” throughout Zootopia, including reptile-inspired texture on the updated Zootopia marquee and his shadows in Nocturnal Alley.
Gary will also join Disney Zootopia Comes Alive, a daily offering featuring live performances from Zootopia residents. Gary will debut in several refreshed stories where characters interact with guests and each other, and join the animal choir of Zootopia, We Love You.
Guests can find even more hints about other new Zootopia 2 characters. These include the opening of Dr. Fuzzby’s partners counseling room and portraits of new city mayor Brian Winddancer in the Zootopia Police Department. Hints of Fru Fru’s daughter and her love of the color pink will show up with new dresses and Mr. Big’s rose suit.
Zootopia 2-Inspired Park Tickets
A new series of limited edition Zootopia 2-inspired park tickets will be available. There are 14 styles, designed as Zootopia character ID cards or featuring Zootopia 2 iconography.
Starting on November 19, guests can log into the Zootopia Detective Quest WeChat Mini Program to follow clues and unlock hidden fun while exploring the land.
Food and Merchandise
Of course, there will also be Zootopia 2 merchandise and menu items. Food includes fish-inspired items from Marsh Markets and Gary De’Snake cotton candy. Fashions by Fru Fru on Mane Street will offer Zootopia 2 apparel and accessories, including Nick’s pink tropical shirt and a Gary crossbody bag.
Zootopia 2 will be in theaters on November 26, 2025.
