Every year on November 18, Disneyland celebrates Mickey and Minnie’s shared birthday with a special cavalcade. 2025 marks 97 years of the characters, who debuted to the world with the release of Steamboat Willie on November 18, 1928.
Mickey & Minnie Birthday Cavalcade
This year’s cavalcade was a modified version of the Celebrate Happy Cavalcade, which ran this summer for the Disneyland 70th anniversary celebration and will likely return after the holidays. The birthday cavalcade used the 70th anniversary costumes for dancers and characters, as well as the “Celebrate Happy” song.
A birthday cake float joined the cavalcade, following a “Happy Birthday Mickey & Minnie” banner.
Duffy and ShellieMay rode in the yellow Main Street car.
The Dapper Dans appeared on a float with Chip ‘n’ Dale. There led a show stop on Main Street where they sang “Happy Birthday” to Mickey and Minnie.
The Disneyland Band also joined the cavalcade between the Dapper Dans and the float with Mickey and Minnie.
They performed the “Happy Birthday” song and accompanied “Celebrate Happy.”
Mickey and Minnie were joined on their float by Pluto, Donald, and Goofy.
The cavalcade ended with the omnibus full of Disney characters, including princesses, princes, Miguel, Alice, and more.
