In a recent press release, Disney announced several opening dates for projects at Disney Village. Among those was the announcement of a Pelé Soccer boutique. Disney Village is the shopping district at Disneyland Paris.
Pelé Soccer
The shop will sell exclusive football (soccer) jerseys from clubs and national teams from around the world, as well as gear including soccer balls, cleats, vintage-inspired products, and accessories for men, women, and children.
The new store will be located directly behind the reimagined Sports Bar & Lounge, and construction is set to start soon.
This new store is fully dedicated to the world of football and celebrates the legendary career of Brazilian football icon Pelé, a true symbol of sporting excellence recognised around the globe. This will be the brand’s very first shop in Europe.
At Walt Disney World, the shop has been open at Disney Springs since 2014. The Downtown Disney location at Disneyland (shown above) opened in 2021.
Other Disney Village Additions
Disneyland Paris announced a refurbishment and shared concept art in 2024. The Sports Bar & Lounge will reopen on November 22. It will have an expanded dining area with additional seating, a contemporary interior, a redesigned terrace, and a reimagined menu. It’s sponsored by Disneyland Paris partner Coca-Cola.
The largest McDonald’s in France is also being constructed at Disneyland Paris. The expected opening is early 2026 catering to families and Disney Parks guests. This is being built next to the existing McDonald’s. This location will stay open until the new McDonald’s opens. According to a press release from Disney, “this new establishment, the brand’s flagship in France, will offer the best of McDonald’s and the most innovative services.”
Several other expansion projections, including the renovation of Annette’s Diner and the transformation of the Disney Store into Disney Wonders, are also underway.
