Today, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade was performed at the Magic Kingdom instead of the Festival of Fantasy Parade. The special run of the Christmas parade was due to the filming of ABC’s 40th Anniversary Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade.
Daytime Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade

The parade kicked off around 2pm ET. The banner for this performance reads, “Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade,” the name of the special being filmed.

Following behind the banner is Alice and the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse follow behind, sitting on pedstals surrounded by a Christmas tree and presents.

Up next is Bert and Mary Poppins, along with some friends from The One Hundred Acre Wood: Winnie the Pooh and Tigger.

Riding on a float that reads “Happy Holidays” are Timon and Rafiki from The Lion King, and Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps from Zootopia.

On the back of the float, surrounded by garland, is Marie from The Aristocats.

The Frozen section is up next, with Kristoff leading the way for Elsa.

Elsa stands on a float that resembles ice.

Vanellope von Schweetz drives behind in her candy kart.

Clarice the chipmunk is on her colorful gingerbread house float.


Clarabelle Cow is led by a group of dancing gingerbread men down the street. Clarabelle’s float is a large wooden kitchen with giant cupcakes.

Dancers lead the way for Goofy and his candy machine float.

Goofy is riding his candy machine float, which has been decorated with a wreath for the holiday.


The Seven Dwarfs and Snow White follow next.

Behind them is Ariel and Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid.

Louis is up next, carrying his trump and wearing a red scarf.

Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen are up next in a white carriage, decorated with garland.

Suzy and Perla, the mice from Cinderella, help usher in the other princesses.


The Royal Prince and Princesses float showcases Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillip, along with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.

Also on the float are Jasmine, Aladdin, and The Fairy Godmother.

An Encanto-themed section follows the princesses, including characters Mirabel, Bruno, and Isabela Madrigal.

Lilo wears a green dress with a poinsettia pattern, with a red lei around her neck. Stich wears a Santa hat.

Leading into the Toy Story section are dancers with blocks and bears.

The Green Army men drive a jeep decorated in oversized Christmas lights and red and white garland wrapped around the front.


Woody and Bullseye ride on a float also decorated with oversized Christmas lights.

The Toy Soldiers lead the way for the finale.

The last float of the parade includes Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, riding in a sleigh full of toys.

Ahead of this parade taking place, there was a small Disney Villains parade, complete with its own float and a rare character.
The Festival of Fantasy parade isn’t currently scheduled for tomorrow either, so guests visiting the Magic Kingdom may have an opportunity then to watch Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime parade.
