Fort Wilderness Meadow Swimmin’ Pool Expansion Timeline Announced

The Meadow Swimmin’ Pool area at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is being expanded, and we now have an estimated refurbishment completion date.

Meadow Swimmin’ Pool Expansion

People swim and relax in an outdoor pool on a sunny day, with red umbrellas and trees in the background.

According to our reporting in June, the resort will get a new zero-entry pool and deck area alongside the existing pool, effectively doubling the space. The expansion will also include a tennis court and two pickleball courts.

Earlier this year, we were given a bird’s eye view of the progress from @bioreconstruct on X.

Here was the statement at the time from Disney:

There’s more magic on the horizon: At Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, we’re expanding the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool area to make room for even more fun and relaxation.

A brand-new zero-entry pool and deck area is being added alongside the existing pool, effectively doubling the space for guests to enjoy. The expansion will also include a tennis court and two pickleball courts, giving families even more ways to play together in the great outdoors.

Now, Disney has added an official timeline to the expansion with a mid-2026 end date.

According to Disney, the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool and Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool will remain open for Guests to enjoy. During this time, seating availability around the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool may be limited and Guests may see or hear construction in the area.
