Join us aboard the Disney Destiny as we experience the brand new, first-of-its-kind family dining experience, Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King. The show brings moments from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Lion King to life at sea.

Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King

Take your place in the circle of life when you dine at Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King. This first-of-its-kind musical dining experience celebrates Simba’s courageous journey to fulfill his destiny as King of the Pride Lands. While relishing deliciously themed cuisine, enjoy a musical retelling of The Lion King by a pride of singers and musicians as they perform the iconic songs from the Disney animated movie that defined a generation.

The show begins with a performer singing the opening lines to “Circle of Life.” As the song continues, more performers join her to continue the song.

A live band also joins the singers and storytellers as more performers travel throughout the audience and join others on the stage. Together, they welcome the crowd to this celebration of the classic Lion King story.

The storytellers then introduce themselves along with the “cub who would be king” story, a tale which has been told many times.

As the story continues, the performers sing a medley of “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and “Be Prepared.” Some exciting music and dancing is featured in the performance. After this, the performers take a break, allowing guests to eat and drink.

Upon returning to the stage, the cast suggests that the crowd is now allied and “family” with a performance of “Hakuna Matata” and “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.” Guests are invited to sing and dance along.

A performance of “Endless Night” from The Lion King on Broadway follows with darkened lighting and softer music.

A rendition of “We Are One” from The Lion King 2 is also performed before the majority of storytellers leave the stage for a drum and dance performance.

Nearing the end of the show, a moving rendition of Nala’s “Shadowland” from the Broadway musical is performed before the entire cast returns to the stage for a farewell. “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” and “He Lives in You” end the show with remaining story details.

Food Review

This Lion King-themed dining experience exclusive to the Disney Destiny features African savanna-inspired details from the food and décor to the live musical performances.

We have a full review of the food, but overall it was a little bizarre for the theme. There were a couple of solid dishes, but both Tom and Eric expected more flavors.
