We toured the Inside Stateroom on the Disney Destiny cruise ship, including Hercules, Brave, and Big Hero 6-themed staterooms. As suggested by the name, Inside Staterooms are on the inside walls of the ship and do not have an ocean view.

Inside Stateroom

The Inside Stateroom is 169 sq. ft. and sleeps 3-4 guests with a queen bed and sofa bed—plus, a ceiling pull-down bed if sleeping 4 guests. There is no exterior view and it does not have a split bathroom like other Staterooms on the Disney Destiny.

We toured Stateroom 6013, which is a Hercules-themed Inside Stateroom.

Unlike most staterooms, guests enter into the living space first. There is no hallway. The bed is at the back of the room, with the headboard against the back wall. In the living space is a sofa and a large vanity.

The blue sofa has blue and mustard yellow throw pillows. An oval-shaped table can be tucked up against the sofa. There is a hook on the wall for a bathrobe, towel, or clothing.

The artwork above the sofa shows comic book-style scenes from the movie.

The vanity unit across from the sofa has a wardrobe, shelves, and drawers. The shelves have short railings to keep items from falling off due to the motion of the ship. The phone is mounted above one shelf. There are outlets built into the unit.

Lamps and reading lights are mounted above built-in end tables on either side of the bed. Both sides have their own light controls and different outlets. The TV is mounted on the wall next to the bed.

Artwork above the bed shows a scene of Mount Olympus with several characters from the movie in various poses.

There is a heavy privacy curtain that can be pulled across the room, separating the bed and the living space.

The bathroom door, featuring a full-length mirror, is across from the bed on the opposite wall. The bathroom features a glass-door shower/tub combo, sink, and toilet. Towels and toiletries are provided.

Big Hero 6 Inside Stateroom

The next Inside Stateroom we toured was 10017, which is themed to Big Hero 6.

The carpet is navy blue with sunbursts and yellow Mickey icons and stars. An illuminated mirror is on one end of the vanity, with a switch to turn it on or off.

The artwork above the bed is a scene of the characters flying over San Fransokyo. The linens and pillows on the bed are white. There is no bed runner.

One side of the room has the television and vanity area.

The other side has the sofa, which is configured to show what it looks like when it is converted to a bed when we toured it.

The framed art above the sofa/bed is comic book-style sketches of Big Hero 6 scenes.

Brave Inside Stateroom

This Brave-themed Inside Stateroom that we toured, Stateroom 8019, sleeps four with the berth pulled down.

It was set up to show the bed configuration that is set up each evening. There is a ladder and rails for safety. The queen bed is raised so guests can store luggage beneath.

Above the tan padded headboard is a depiction of Merida on her horse shooting her bow as her mother (in bear form) looks on. The mural-style artwork is very vibrant and colorful, and there are Celtic patterns in the center of the piece.

The same Hercules-themed ceiling art is in this stateroom as well. From our experience, all staterooms, regardless of theme, have this constellation-style image of Hercules.

The room has the same set up as the others, it just has different artwork.
