Composer Zain Effendi has been nominated for a Grammy for the composition of “Opening” from the EPCOT Test Track soundtrack.
The composer for “Opening”, from the soundtrack to the newly reimagined EPCOT Test 3.0, Zain Effendi, has officially been nominated for a Grammy for Best Instrumental Composition.
According to Rolling Hype, the Grammy nomination adds to Effendi’s growing list of honors, including two Telly Awards, multiple World Entertainment Awards, and recognition from the Hollywood Music & Media Awards for Best Live Concert and Best New Composer.
His music has shaped signature experiences across Disney, Sony, Warner Bros., and Bad Robot, including Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Shanghai Disneyland’s Adventure in Rhythm, and the Disney Starcruiser Hotel experience.

Test Track 3.0 is in the World Discovery neighborhood of EPCOT. The ride takes guests through today’s technology, showcasing how cars can use advanced sensors to scan the world around them.
Test Track officially reopened to all guests on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
