The Downtown Disney District Starbucks at Disneyland Resort is currently closed ahead of a union strike.
Downtown Disney District Starbucks Closed
Starbucks workers voted to authorize a strike that will begin on Thursday, November 13, but the Downtown Disney Starbucks has already been closed for a few days.

Signs at the location make no mention of the strike. They just state the store is closed. The Starbucks locations inside Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure are still open.
Though the strike has not officially begun, Disneyland Resort Starbucks workers did hold a rally outside outside the resort. They are demanding “an end to union-busting and resolution of 100s of unfair labor practices (ULPs) in our stores.” The strike website, nocontractnocoffee.org, states:
Unionized baristas are asking allies and customers to skip Starbucks if we have to strike because when workers act with the support of their communities, we can take back power from billionaires and CEOs. Starbucks Workers United is a bright spot in a bleak landscape: 12,000+ baristas—young, queer, and workers of color among them—are organizing for a fair contract with higher pay, better staffing and hours, and an end to union busting. This isn’t just about coffee: it’s about whether big corporations can crush an organizing wave or whether working people reclaim our power. These baristas are taking real risks and showing the country what hope looks like. Stand with them.
Various rallies are scheduled for November 13 across the country, including in Anaheim. The date is Starbucks’ annual Red Cup Day, when they offer customers souvenir red cups.
