The Disneyland 70th anniversary banners in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle have been replaced with more festive decorations. The 70th anniversary banners were installed in May just ahead of the official start of the 70th anniversary celebration.

New 70th Anniversary Holiday Banners

The former 70th anniversary banners were pink and blue with gold stars and fringe, plus gold “70” medallions, trumpets, and magic spirals. The new banners are red and gold with snowflakes instead of stars. “70” is in red against the gold panel, instead of on a medallion. The trumpets and spirals are gone.

There are six banners lining the Sleeping Beauty Castle drawbridge. The castle itself is decked out for the holidays with faux snow, icicles, garlands, and a wreath around the large 70th anniversary medallion. The latter replaces filigree and chiffon-like drapery in the 70th anniversary colors.

Presumably, the regular 70th anniversary banners will return in the new year after holiday celebrations are over. Below is a picture of them for comparison.
