Disney World App Testing Feature to Easily Find Merchandise

The Walt Disney World app, My Disney Experience, is testing a new “Find Merchandise” feature to help guests locate products.

Find Merchandise in My Disney Experience

Users can find the feature on the homepage by scrolling down. Because it’s currently testing, not all users will have access yet. It also only allows users to check availability for World of Disney at Disney Springs. But after testing, you may be able to search for products anywhere at Walt Disney World Resort.

After clicking “Try It Out,” users can search for a specific product, check out top products, or click on trending topics like “Holiday.”

When you click on a specific product, you can see a picture of it and details. If it’s apparel, you can select a specific size. Then hit “Check Shop Availability” and the app will let you know if it’s in stock at World of Disney. It also displays the store’s hours.

Many years ago, Walt Disney World had a similar feature available in conjunction with shopDisney/Disney Store. It ended, reportedly due to difficulties keeping track of stock, but it seems Disney has worked out the issues enough to try re-introducing the feature.
