The holiday season has officially started, and Disney Springs kicked off the festivities with a tree lighting ceremony on November 13. One family was chosen from the audience to blow some pixie dust onto the tree.

The pixie dust brought it to life with twinkling lights and officially marking the start of the holiday season across Disney World.
According to Disney, “the atmosphere embodied the true holiday magic at Disney with dazzling entertainment moments and the first night of our nightly snowfall in Town Center at Disney Springs.”
Other festivities taking place at Disney Springs include the Christmas Tree Stroll, where guests can look at 19 themed trees and match the correct icon to each tree and bring it to one of the redemption locations for a special surprise.

There is also the Disney Enchanted Holiday Art Gallery, where guests can shop for unique artwork this holiday season.
Several dining locations also have special food and beverages available to purchase. You can see the full menu guide here.
Finally, be sure to meet Santa Claus and check out the other offerings for this year.
