The ‘Death Stranding’ Franchise, From Legendary Game Creator Kojima Hideo, will soon get an Anime Series at Disney+.
According to Variety, at the Disney+ originals Asia Pacific preview on Thursday, Kojima Hido revealed “Death Stranding Isolations”, an original animated series based on his video game franchise that will debut exclusively on Disney+ in 2027.
Hideo, appeared with director Sano Takayuko at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort to reveal the project.
Kojima will be the executive producer for the Disney+ series, which is set to tell an entirely new story inside the “Death Stranding” universe.
The series will follow a young man and woman on an adventure that will be rendered in traditional hand-drawn 2D animation.
The original “Death Stranding” game on PlayStation launched in 2019 and had more than 20 million players worldwide.
